The Whisky List is pleased to bring to you a 1993 Oloroso Sherry GlenDronach single cask bottled entirely for Australia. Cask #392 was distilled on February 12th 1993 and bottled at 51.0% earlier this year, making it the first 26 year old 1993 GlenDronach bottling to make it into the wild.

I remember buying a '93 PX single cask for 90 quid about 10 years ago, but the prices for these things have exploded since. I prefer Oloroso and this is matured in a first-fill Oloroso cask.

A 26yo for under $1k is not bad in today's market. I've had many Oloroso single casks in the 18-25yo range and they've all been excellent.

    Age is only counted when in the barrel, it was bottled in 2019

    A whisky’s age is based on when it was bottled (ie the time it spent in the barrel). So this would have been bottled in 2019 (or very early 2020 if the distilled date is 12/2/93

  I hear you! I’ve got a bottle of 20 YO (give or take) ‘93 kicking about that I would have bought for maybe 1/3 of this? There’s later bottlings I bought in the UK about 7 years ago for like £100 (ish)

  The sad part is in todays market this deal is a very good price for this bottling
