Keter 270L Marvel Plus Storage Box $89 (RRP $179) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store/ OnePass) @ Bunnings

121

Was looking for an outdoor storage box. Gets good reviews.

Seems like a decent price, similar to Amazon knock-offs but better quality it seems

Also Temple and Webster have it RRP for $179.

Had a couple of these. Soft flimsy plastic, I guess it's good if you don't expect it to last too long or don't fill it too much. Also not sealed so expect spiders, ants etc

Found a better one, but pricey ++

    • Guessing the product picture is wrong based on your comments - surely an adult can’t sit on them? I have the Gideon one and it’s cheap flimsy plastic

      • Correct, these Ketel ones can't carry an adult's weight. The picture has a stable non moving small female on it.

        • I bet IRL it's a cardboard cutout of "a stable non moving small female on it."

Hard agree. I wouldn't even call these storage boxes, more like a plastic outdoor cushion container (which is what it really seems to be marketed for).
Makes no sense to use them in Australia with our high average property price and insane levels of UV

I will say though, a good outdoor storage box is worth what it costs. I was lucky enough to pick up two Lifetime brand ones from Bunnings last year for around this price (but they had gone through several rounds of discounts). They are strong enough to stand on, and have no problems holding a bunch of junk that used to sit around taking up space. I was iffy about spending so much when I got them, but now I wish there had been more

I have this box. Even though I keep it undercover and out of the sun, the plastic hinges for the lid broke after a year or so of infrequent use. I replaced them with metal ones and it still works.

    • At the original price of $179 would not expect this to happen must be crap then.
I got ones a year or so prior to masters closing down cant remember the brand I got two at the time and still going strong.
They have now and again been exposed to sun and always rain and been moved around a bit with house moves.
But by sounds these don’t last or not as good

You mean Keter of Israel, one of the oppressive corporations of the occupied West Bank, who are now also oppressing their customers with their shoddy quality products?

Likely crap because the brand name is a play on the name of the premium plastic storage company Keter.

The picture of the woman sitting on the top cover is a stretch. This lid is flimsy AF and if you try to sit on it, it'll snap.

One of these with durable tough plastic, with a SEAT on top would be terrific.

    This however, is landfill.
