    my 2c

    a. if free, you improve "sales" numbers to the extent that you move up the ranks/ have a "best" seller in a category
    b. give a book for free, hopefully someone likes it enough, that they buy another book of the same author

    eg Battle Mage ebook
    8729 reviews, average 4.7/5
    I wonder how many of those 8729 reviews, were from readers who bought the ebook vs those who get them for free

      I wonder what makes someone put in their review. I add a lot of these free books to my list and frankly. I don't think I look at any of them. if I did I didn't think I would take the effort going to find It on Amazon and putting in a review.
