Uppababy Vista V2 - Best Deal?

A bunch of friends and family are pooling to gift an Uppababy Vista V2.

The price is roughly the same everywhere $1600-$1699 with different variations of free accessories which are actually decent (like a color matching changing backpack which I guess individually is really expensive at $160).

Can you suggest which vendor + bargain to use?
Hoping to get it for under $1500

Some of the options considered :
1. Getting discounted gift cards and buying it from Baby Bunting
2. Wait for a Baby Expo - heard the deals are similar so not worth waiting for Uppababy
3. Wait for Black Friday - again, people around me say haven't seen a big deal on Black Friday.

Please don't divert on why this model of pram. It's simply on a wishlist which we want to fulfill.
So appreciate if the comments are only related to tips on finding the bargain on this painfully expensive pram.

We got our v1 at the baby expo and iirc it was like 1899 at the time but it came with a free minu pram, which definitely we got our moneys worth and more out of.

    • Thanks. There is one expo in Sydney next week, wonder if it be worthwhile considering its not PBC.

      • We got the floor model fro the baby expo with all of the inclusions and extras for less than retail, or indeed the normal price without the extras

We were there earlyish the first morning, so got in early, then picked it up the next day near closing. Its not cheap, but was easy for my petite wife to lift and manipulate given the way it is designed when folded

She wanted a big pram she could fold and put in the car, so it ticked the boxes. With a second little one on the way, meaning two under two, the extra seat and gear will come in handy

  • if you buy this the interest rates will keep going up

The cheapest I’ve seen is on bubsngrubs. If you sign up to their mailing list they have coupons which is sometimes 10% off.

    • Thanks, noted

I’d also consider waiting for the v3 if you can. Not sure exactly when it’s going to drop but I think the v2 was released 2 years after the original, it’s it’s been close to 3 years since the v2 dropped.

I’m waiting around as long as I can, but the second was just born so I’ve got a bit of time. Not sure how soon you need yours.

Redsbaby just released a new inline double pram btw. Looks quite good.

    • Plan to gift it before X'mas so unless the v3 is announced in the next few weeks, v2 it would be. But thanks for mentioning.
Will discuss it with the group and may let the parents buy the pram and we move on to some other gifts in the registry.

The other one to maybe have a look at is the Babyzen yoyo. This has some great reviews. (Was looking at the Vista however I ordered the yoyo last week).

If you check their outlet - they have some really good deals for discontinued colours. https://stokkeshop.com.au/collections/outlet

    • My understanding is its better suited for a lifestyle involving travel/portable pram.

After we decided we were getting a V2, I spent about two months searching around and sussing out what was the best value for money based on our situation, and we ended up buying this bundle from Metro Baby.

In addition to Vista V2 & Bassinet, it has:
-Parent organiser (hangs on back of pram)
    -Changing backpack
-Upper adapters (seems standard most places you buy from)

    $1699
    -$25 (Coupon: 25OFF275)
    =$1674.00
    -$30.43 (Cashrewards cashback)
    =$1643.57 delivered

We were pretty keen on the Uppababy Changing Backpack anyway because of the look, and the build quality, and yeah wasn't disappointed- the backpack has the same materials and build quality as the pram liners etc. The 'parent organiser' seems useful too and it's Uppababy branded too so, assume good quality.

My customer service experience was good too, as we had preordered it and it was unexpectedly delivered early while we were overseas (left at the front door lol) and they organised the courier to pick it up, return and redeliver it after we returned home, no charge- all via email.
FYI if you did go through Metro Baby they now have rewards program where you get points or something, prob worth doing just incase.

    • Thanks for sharing. I too looking at the feedback loved that the backpack made of the same material and even having a matching bottle cover to be reallt good. In itself it might be a "luxury" item but when included in the bundle makes the package a whole lot more attractive.

I live near these guys and they always undercut Baby Bunting

    • WOW! $1595 for PRAM + Organiser (wish it was the backpack) + Seat Liner (haven't seen included) + Upper Adapters delivered.
This might be the best price I have seen without having to jump through hoops of coupon, gift card on cashback.
Wish it included a backpack instead of organiser.
But will keep an eye on this vendor thank you.

We bought ours off Marketplace for well under $1k. It's a pram that's built for smooth, flat surfaces, so it doesn't really suffer any wear and tear.
