Australia Post $100 VISA gift cards

How does activating the AusPost VISA gift cards work? Does that happen when I purchase it or does the recipient need to do it online? I want to give one as a gift to a relative who is computer irliterate so it would only be a suitable gift if they could open the card and head to the shops to spend it. Otherwise I'll just get them a Myer card but being able to shop wherever they like would be nice (even though there is the extra $5.95 card fee)

  • The visa card needs to be activated online.

However alternatively, the woolworths single load prepaid mastercard which can be loaded with any amount ($20 to $1000) plus an extra $2.95 card fee gets activated at checkout by the staff and can be used instantly at shops (after signing the back) or online.

    • Thanks axnkidz

With the Woolworths card, when I activate the card in store will it be registered under my name & address or can I give the recipients details?

      • No problem, no address or ID is needed during purchase.

  • +1

I want to give one as a gift to a relative who is computer irliterate

i imagine a nice crisp $100 note would always be welcomed

  • If you get one I'd suggest to go in-store for it. I ordered one 10 days ago and it has yet to arrive.
