My OXO tongs had the rivets holding them together all dissolve and break
Aluminium rivets break down in dishwashers, try to get ones with steel, or handwash.

Do I need this? No. But they're cheap and good quality, apparently, so whatever.

Any recommendations for 6" (15cm) tongs with silicon heads?
I want the metal part to extend a significant distance into the silicon head like the OXO 1054627 Good Grips Tongs with Nylon Head, 9-Inch/ 23 cm, Stainless Steel @ $14 but smaller. We've found the tiny tabs in the cheap ones bend and the silicon head detaches.
