CBA Smart Awards Card, QFF Points Not Received

Approved and met $4000 spend in late August. It’s now mid November, and whilst it’s still within 90 days of meeting $4000 spend, by the time the next statement rolls around I’m pretty sure it’ll be out of 90 days. Has anyone else had issues with getting the points? I’m getting the usual QFF points just from spend but not the bonus ones.

    Doesn't sound like there's an issue, if it's still with in the 90 days, the condition you accepted

    Make sure the $4000 spend is not related to Gov't payment (like Council Fees, Tax, etc).

    Best thing to do is contact them and ask if you've met the conditions. If so, you'll get the points. If not, ask what you still need to do

    What did CBA say when you asked them?

    • They said I'd get the points, though I called them a week ago and they said the same thing for this cycle which didn't happen. I'll just see what happens next cycle.

  • I churned the Ultimate card while they had the bonus offer and had no issues.

    I got the bonus points as CBA award points in the first month after meeting the minimum spend, with the points sweeping to QFF after the first statement. So check what your CBA points balance is first. Fortunately, CBA makes it fairly easy to track which transactions earn what points.

    • Thanks for sharing! It's similar to what I've previously read online- that it happens pretty fast normally. The CBA points balance is 0, as they correctly sweep to my QFF each month! I'm a little concerned I won't get them since I've fulfilled every requirement, including not having any recent CBA credit card and it'll be more than 90 days by the time the next statement arrives.

    Reached minimum spend on 14 Oct.
    Two statements later and still no bonus points.

    Figure there is not much point calling to question where they are yet… will call if they don’t come through in December.

    • Annoyingly I still haven't received points… pretty sure I calculated I'm at day 102 after reaching minimum spend.

    • Yes I received my points after chasing them up for a few months at each statement, it definitely fell outside the expected 90 day limit (was more like 150 days or something). Unfortunately each time I called they just told me to wait til the next statement but finally I got a really good customer service rep who chased it up for me and sorted it out.
