Questions: Samsung HW-Q930C Soundbar

Q1: Can I run the HW-Q930C with just the soundbar and subwoofer? As it will take me a bit to mount and wire up the power for the rear speakers.

Q2: Is anyone running this soundbar on a non Samsung TV, and do they work ok without the Samsung Q-Symphony? I would assume that they work ok, as most other soundbars run fine without it.

Q3: Does this soundbar remember the settings? My old Samsung soundbar (HW-H55T - with latest firmware) lost its settings every time it went off with my TV, which was very annoying.

    1. Yes, just don't power the rear speakers
    2. Yes it will work okay. But recommend to buy the same TV brand to stay in the ecosystem. Other companies do it as well
    • Thanks. I have a TCL 75" TV and am happy with that, but would prefer a better brand for audio, plus they are cheap ($749) atm ;)

  • You can put it in front speaker mode and put them in front of you rather than behind.

    • I did not know that was possible. Might have to have a read of the manual. Thanks.

  • Not this particular Samsung soundbar model but have my Samsung soundbar hooked up to my gaming pc and obviously can bluetooth from a my mobile and both sound awesome especially my gaming pc, yupz mines just the soundboard and subwoofer no rear speakers,..
    👌👈👉😲🍻

    • I never thought about using a soundbar for my pc. Geat idea Thanks :)

  • I have the Samsung Q930 hooked up to Sony A80L and it's great. Sometimes I don't power up the rear speakers.

Sound works via compress audio signals like DTS, Atmos, Dolby Digital & Plus etc. so as long as your TV has the ability to deliver the same compress audio signals then will be ok.

Also please note that the Soundbar is plugs into the HDMI port marked eARC or ARC); eARC for best sound delivery but requires a HDMI 2.1 Cable

    • Is there a discernible difference between the tv speakers and soundbar
