    Wow great price.
    Great little machine.

All items sold by and shipped by Appliances Online are price errors. People's orders were cancelled last night swiftly.

Essentially every item (~600 items) is incorrectly displaying as $345

    Refer to comments

Nobody is getting this for $345.

    • +2

Yea ordered and cancelled almost automatically

      • I ordered at around 8am this morning and got confirmation of order email but I've not had a cancellation email.

Did you login to WW to see the cancellation or did you get an email - if it's an email, I'm hopeful mine is ordered (it's a backup for one I already have)

    • Will JB or good guys price match?

    • Why haven’t they just taken the site down?

Apple can do it for marketing purposes, surely woolies can do it for a serious pricing problem.

  • +2

Why you don't buy this Breville Barista Touch Coffee Machine for same price $345

    • Perfect offer to get a price match :)

      • Lol, would it actually work?

        • -2

I suspect that the cost/wholesale price for Woolworths/Appliances Online got accidentally loaded as the discounted retail price

      • Where from?

      • You can get lucky sometimes with the right person. I was able to price match at Officeworks from a store which has now been taken down, and managed to get the Bambino Plus for $410.

      • +1

Just tried my luck with JB Hi-Fi - they don't price match third party sellers. Bummer!

    • Obligatory cheers got 10

    • Had a crack! Instant refund haha

    • -2

I suspect that the cost/wholesale price for Woolworths/Appliances Online got accidentally loaded as the discounted retail price

    • I ordered it. Was cancelled today.

I got 1700 Everyday Rewards points and a $20 gift voucher in compensation.

  • Should I even bother?

  • are these price errors across the board then?

    • Everything is massively discountered with high RRP despite it not being cookware.

  • Crazy that this used to be the price of this machine and now it's nearly double. I'd have snapped one up!

    • +1

Yeah, crazy that the RRP from a couple of years ago is now a price error!!

  • 404'd now

    • yup same…got 404'd

  • Yep. Refunded. Didn't get to price match either damnit.

  • Price error and deal closed.

Somehow I got Appliances Online to price match this. Delivery coming tomorrow, I'll update this if it comes…

    • +1

      smart move

    • +2

Well played. They price matched their own store?

      • +1

Doesn't make sense to me either

    • Can you share the receipt ? I will see if they can price match as well.

      • +1

I sure can! I will flick it through tomorrow, onces it's out for delivery. Don't want them to realise what they did & cancel mine hahah

      • What info do you need on the receipt to try and price match? My order has just been shipped

        • you got so lucky! I don't know why I didn't think of this

        • -1

Can I have the copy of the receipt ?

    • If you could share the receipt I would like to try to price match as well if they follow through as well pls

      • What info do you need on the receipt to try and price match? My order has just been shipped

        • they need to be able to see that it’s a legit Receipt so that the price matcher knows it’s not a fake.

Please do share or even DM it to me and others requesting

        • Can I have it as well ;)

    • +6

It's better than almost everything else within it's price range and is the most recommended entry level machine.

      • +2

Absolutely fantastic machine and well worth the price.

        • -2

At $600, I'd rather get the Breville Barista Express; technologically a lesser product, but at least it has a semi-decent grinder.

          • +8

@DontNeedThis: Way better waiting for a Bambino Plus sale and then buying your own grinder or even just buying the regular Bambino that way you can just upgrade one or the other when you want to. You'll run into many issues with the inconsistent grind of the Express and probably end up buying another grinder anyway and be stuck with large footprint of the Express.

          • @DontNeedThis: That's a reasonable position but your original comment said at 345 it's barely worth it.

        • +2

Certainly when we got the Bambino Plus for $360 it was well worth the price. We combine it with the Breville Smart grinder, at $250, and the man is very happy with both.

    • +1

At $350 it's great. At $500+ it starts to become questionable value.

The biggest pro for it is its ease of use, especially if you have people in the house who'd just prefer to have a Nespresso machine for the convenience. It's a good compromise machine for those situations.

      • Also the almost instant hot water.

      • I can't quite grasp what you're saying. What makes it so easy to use that it's convincing for those Nespresso fans?

As in: it doesn't have a (perhaps confusing) grinder? But you have to dose the coffee yourself.
Or it doesn't have a hundred options like some of the fully automated machines? But you still have to do a lot more than when you have a fully automated one (or a capsule machine).

Don't get me wrong - Nespresso is crap to produce waste. I'm just trying to understand the thinking here.

        • +1

Once you get your grind and dose set, it's just a matter of tapping a few buttons to get a consistent result without having to worry too much about anything else. The milk frothing has a heat sensor, so you really just need to press a button and let it go.

Would love to know if anyone was able to snag it from woolies marketplace

    • +1

      Ordered mine at 7.45am
Not cancelled or processed yet, hope it ships!

    • Yep, not cancelled yet. No progress on the order either however.

    • +1

Got a notification from the AusPost app that they accepted shipping info from Woolies Marketplace 👀. Still pending on the marketplace site & no email received. It also doesn’t let me download the invoice 🤔

      • No updates on my end. I thought it would be delivered by appliances online who typically use their own freight?

        • Mine still shows order placed, nothing on the auspost app

          • @hmac: Mine popped up on app….lets see what happens next.

            • @tka: still nothing
are they just holding our money like an interest free loan?

              • +1

@bruceclipse: Trying to decide whether to call them or wait. I don’t want my call to be human intervention that cancels it haha

                • +1

@bloom: good one. good things happen to those who wait.

                • +1

@bloom: Definitely don't call! It'll be cancelled for sure like most of the other orders hahaha. But I'm hoping i get something in the app soon, still nothing so far

                • @bloom: Goods things happen to those that wait. Hold the line!

                • @bloom: I got this email from them
