ASUS Vivobook Laptop S712EA-AU597W Good for $774?

My dad has asked me to find him a new laptop under $1k. This morning I found this one https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0C48QXBGB as an Amazon Warehouse return for $774.

ASUS Vivobook Laptop, 17.3-Inch, Windows 11 Pro, Intel Core i7-1165G7 Processor, SSD, 8GB RAM, IntelĀ® Iris Xe Graphics Graphics, Silver, S712EA-AU597W

I was like farrk that seems like a really good price, jumped the gun and purchased it knowing I can still return it. I bought a monitor from Amazon Warehouse before which said was in average condition and it was brand new (just a damaged box) so not worried about that.

As long as this laptop is new or still in new condition, is it a good deal for $774? I've searched other laptops on Amazon Warehouse before and seen the same ones on eBay for the same warehouse price so those don't seem like a good deal, however I can't find this one anywhere else.

    Jesus.

  • No one else has been very helpful yet, but that's a great deal. Not the newest laptop, but if he doesn't mind the size of should be able to handle most of the can throw at it. Does it still have any kind of manufacturers warranty?

  • Looks good for this price if there is a warranty. A bit bulky and heavy to keep on the lap. Memory could require an upgrade since 8gb is not much nowdays. Imho 16gb is minimum even for office

  • Also this could be a better option

  • Received it and returning it. It's such a terrible laptop, laggy, atrocious picture, but I think they sent an older version than that advertised anyway.
