When first selecting a QHD+ screen, why does selecting a 1TB HDD (from 512GB) also require a GFx upgrade to an RTX 4060 (from a 4050)?
Seems odd when the original config of a 512GB SSD seems to work with the RTX 4050; why would a larger SSD require more graphics power?

Those combination of specs are what Dell has in inventory and ready to ship as soon as you order.
You'll see the little ā next to each spec, if you click that, it tells you that changing X will also affect Y.
Is the hard drive user upgradeable on that model? It is often more cost effective to do it that way when buying new.
They're not built to order. Your choices are constrained by whatever they have in stock.

It's a business decision. Possibly allowing them to keep less inventory or just to ensure a greater profit margin.
