Some Links To New And Upcoming Cordless Tools.

Since so many of us use cordless tools, I thought I would post a list of links to some tool brands Australian new product pages. Some pages are just new products, and some are newest to oldest incorporating latest releases.

Unfortunately some brands stupidly don't have a new product page or a way of listing from newest to oldest, so I cant list them here. Or I stupidly couldn't find them. Ozito is one of them, but since so many here use Ozito I did a separate post for those tools.

Hopefully this is of interest to some.

  • $99 for circular saw in Ryobi - would it be rubbish or half decent?

    • +1

Well they cannot be worse than Ozito circulaz from boonoir, that's for sure… Ryobi would at least test and compare against Makita…

It looks like a rehash of an older model. it's a 150mm saw so blade choice is limited.

I did have the 150mm saw over ten years ago and it worked quite well. Used it for rough cuts on form ply and 45 x 90 pine etc.

      • cheers - wanted to trim down some wood planks maybe something like these

to make some new work tops for some old desks

Should cut that no issue. Mine was the older blue model and it cut the form ply very easily.

Just don't force it and let the blade do the work. If you do push it too hard the only thing that will happen is it will cut out. If it does, just go again an a bli slower.

I have that circular saw and used it cutting ply, mdf and structural pine without any problems. I don't have anything to compare it to but it seemed to do what it was supposed to do with no difficulty. Like all ryobi things - if you're a professional using it weekly or more then probably get a better brand. if you're just getting it for occasional home use for projects and odds and ends then I imagine it should be fine.

      • yeah just home use nothing crazy

i have some other random timber/mdf off cuts in the shed that i could cut up too to make other random bits and pieces

  • Looks like theyre bringing out a new 4.0 battery kit thats $50 less than the current kit, seems like an alright price

  • Would be cool if the ryobi usb lithium rotary tool accepts dremel rotary bits

    • Every Dremel bit should fit. All these type of rotary tools use the same 3.2mm (1/8) shank bits.

  • Ryobi 18V

    Most are not new products.

  • Ryobi track saw huh, wonder if any good

    • Check out some of the reviews on Youtube. Reviews are mostly positive but it does have some downsides. But you have to remember it is half the price or even less than the pro brands cordless equivalents

These guys do quite good and pretty unbiased reviews in my opinion.

  • Ahhh i wish any of those brands had a sub $500 3/4 high torque impact wrench.

Can’t bring myself to pay $650 + again.

Side note: i think dewalt has some new stuff out soon?
