First Home Gym FID Bench Equipment Gym Plug (Multifunctional Exercise Bench V2)

G'day first post on Ozbargain. Gym membership price has gone up recently and looking to cancel and get home gym equipment. Don't have the space for a power rack so just looking to start with a bench and adjustable dumbbells for the foreseeable future.

But am just asking to see if anyone has purchased this bench/brand before Gym Plug (as out of what I've seen it's what I'm most interested in), have never heard of them but after looking around online I'm tossing up between these options:
$350 = $299.95 + $50 shipping (weight limit 300kg)
https://gymplug.com.au/products/multifunctional-exercise-ben…

$269.95 = $269.95 + $0 shipping (weight limit 250kg)
https://gymplus.com.au/products/adjustable-olympic-weight-be…

$372 = $299.99 + $72 shipping (weight limit 250kg)
https://www.everlastboxing.com.au/products/preacher-curl-uti…

$299 = $261.63 + $38 shipping (weight limit 250kg)
https://www.lifespanfitness.com.au/products/cortex-bn-11-exe…

Additionally there was one other I've seen on Facebook market place seller is asking for $550 from a commercial brand Catch fitness FID bench and these 2 attachments https://www.catch-fitness.com/collections/attachments/produc…
https://www.catch-fitness.com/collections/attachments/produc…
with a weight limit of 750kg, but seems that the brand no longer sells the specific bench they had so unable to see specs. Although used wanted to post this here before inquiring with said seller.
Here's a post of the bench and attachments of that brand https://www.instagram.com/p/Ch1ZI0rBLkn/

Not in a rush to purchase anything yet as will probably wait another week for Black Friday deals, just seeing what other OzBargainers would do in this situation as i regularly do the additional exercised this type of bench comes with. Any comments and recommendations would be appreciated, Thanks.

      • Sorry what is /thread?

Thank you too for the brand recommendations. But daym are they expensive, but indeed the quality is there for the price. Just a bit out of my range for a starter bench.

  • I gotta say if space is an issue you might want an exercise mat and a pull up bar. That's all you need for muscle gains and functional strength really. Sorry if I've deviated from the main question.

    • No stress, any response is welcome. I already have them both but enjoy weight training as well, as I've been training at gyms for a few years now. But a mate of mine got a Rouge power rack in their room which was pretty neat a year or 2 ago hence wanna see how this goes.

Had the same thought process recently and went with these 2

I would say though, you are better off getting it right the first time then buying multiple gym sets / equipment later!

Had this initially and yeah, it just doesn't get the right results

    • Bloody hell that is temping but would have to leave something like that outside which wouldn't be great overtime. As for the catch bench you had initially was it more of a stability issue or would you say build quality or both?

The bench itself was functionable, primary issue i had was really the angling problems with a smaller bar and the distance between the arms on the bench. You end up doing bench press at a weirdish angle.

But yeah, it doesnt feel the same using that bench. The squat rack on the other hand has been a lot better and closer to what i get at a gym
