Ozito 2320PSI Pressure Washer Vs Full Boar 2465PSI Pressure Washer

Hey guys,

Last weekend, I was at my local Bunnings Warehouse wanting to buy the Ozito 2000W 2320PSI High Pressure Washer (Model: HPW-2320K).

They are all sitting on a crate at the promotional aisle in the center of the store.

On the next crate, I noticed this heavy duty and very well constructed Full Boar 2400W 2465PSI High Pressure Washer (Model: FBEPW-2500).

At the end, I couldn't decide which pressure cleaner to buy, and thought I would do a poll before my next Bunnings visit.

Attributes Ozito 2320PSI Full Boar 2465PSI
Flow Rate 8L / min 8L / min
Max Pressure 2320PSI 2465PSI
Weight 9.5kg 25kg
Hose Length 8m 10m
Pump Material Aluminium Brass
Warranty 3 Years 1 Year
Commercial No Yes
Cost $129 $500

Considering how well rated Full Boar products are on OzBargain, would it be overkill to buy the Full Boar electric pressure washer for longevity considering from fittings to the hose gun everything is very well made and feels less "plasticy" than the Ozito pressure cleaner?

I don't have any intention of using the machine commercially. However, I do have a long driveway which I think this machine should be able to handle with a lot more ease.
However, I am concerned about maneuverability with such a high weight of 25kg.

I have had a quick look at the Ryobi 2100W 2750PSI Electric Pressure Washer (Model: RACPWS4). The reviews of this unit seem to be terrible.

Furthermore, I have taken a look at the Jet-USA 3800PSI Electric Pressure Washer, 3200W High Pressure Cleaner Spray Gun Gurney, 30M Hose. However, there has been some terrible reviews of this brand in the past.

In any case, thoughts? suggestions?

I'd be going for the Full Boar. Admittedly I am a Ryobi user, which is the way I would go usually.
I have 2 friends that work for Bunnings in management, and the amount of Ozito Returned/destroyed they see is probably the reason why my friends have Ryobi tools in their garage.

We had a Karcher, and replaced it with a Ryobi that was @ $130, as the wand for the Karcher was @ $85.

    I didn't vote….
    ….but following this post.

I just killed my Gerni on my last car wash. Admittedly I've had more than my money's worth out of it over the years, in thanks to an OzB post for the Bunnings deal of about $49ish, way back in 2015ish

Looking to upgrade to something decent and top quality

    • I just killed my Gerni

Interestingly enough, Ozito owns Gerni as of circa 2020. Gerni used to be one of the best brands when it came to pressure cleaners. Sadly, no more.

      • I'll definitely be upgrading to something decent now.
This car washing is a regular occurrence

Interestingly, neither theFull Boat or the Ryobi you listed is available WA

Ozito do not own Gerni. World wide Gerni is owned by Nilfisk but, Bunnings Hardware's home brand Ozito have bought the rights to Gerni in Australia from the parent company Nilfisk.

As for them being one of the best brands when it came to pressure cleaners I can assure you from years in the pressure washer industry Gerni were not considered to be one of the best brands when it came to pressure cleaners, they were considered one of, it not the worst brands. Yes I did work for them as a rep as I did for Karcher, Warwick and Kleenmachine.

        • I bought a top of the line Gerni 7300 in 2021 and have had it break down 4 times. Twice were swapped out in store, twice I've had to wait 6+ weeks (in prime pressure washing weather!) for repairs.
I believe it is a pressure sensor/switch or other electrical problem. Ozito doesn't seem to care about my issues.

I found this thread as I am now debating getting a refund on the Gerni and either going for a Kranzle, or a petrol pressure washer. I mostly wash the car so feel that petrol is overkill for that.. but petrol can get a decent unit for $600. Kranzle is commercial quality for $1200

I actually just picked up the Full Boar for $250 on clearance, maybe it's discontinued as I noticed the link just went down in the last 30 mins or so.

Edit: seems to be working again now.

    • WTF! Just refreshed the page, and its gone now.

Full Boar for $250 on clearance

Must be your local store only deal. That is a damn good price for the FB unit.

EDIT: The page is back again. Temporary glitch.

    • Would have snapped that up at that price too…..

      • Yeah stars aligned lol, I'd had a good run with the Karcher 5.85 from 2009 having only replaced the capacitor once, tonight it wouldn't turn on, opened it up and the rod that moves the switch seized, given the pump sounds like it's on it's last legs I thought time to get a replacement. Went in to Bunnings to get a Gerni 7000 and the FB was in the middle of the aisle ready to go.

    • Which store?

Hire a 4,000 PSI, 20-ish LPM petrol unit to do your drive in a day, and buy the Ozito for around the house.

8 LPM is underpowered for any serious/efficient work so buying the $500 unit seems … wasteful.

    • 8 LPM is underpowered for any serious/efficient work so buying the $500

      Good point.

If I can find it for $250, it will be an instant buy for me.

The Full Boar clearly seems to be the better built option… but is it going to last 3x as long as the Ozito? The pressure differences listed is essentially just rounding errors.

You could buy three Ozitos and keep two in boxes until the first one breaks (or buy each after the 3yr warranty expires), and still be ahead in expenditure.

  • Ryobi makes good tools but their pressure washer is excrementy!
    Kaercher?

  • Ozito website does not seem to list this model and Bunnings have since removed this listing as well, what's our next best comparable option?
