I don't know, BG3 is better than a decent game so a decent game is probably < $45
They needed to create a new Diablo 2, not Diablo 3.
$66 is almost a decent price, unfortunately you finish the game very quickly, and there is no end-game.
Wait for $30 or less.
There is an endgame now in season 2. Farm uber duriel for the uber uniques and in December there's Abbatoir or Zir which will be like the Greater Rifts of diablo 3, except with a lot more pain.
Dont get me wrong, the longer you wait, the more the game will be improved.
The real bargain here is Diablo II: Resurrected for $20
No end game? Higher world tier levels after capstone dungeon, nightmare dungeons, world bosses.
Paragon board is maxed out, and gear improvement is nonexistent after a while.
There no story or dungeon/raid progression.
The game is made to create a new character and start all over (season characters).
Uber unique items are "less likely than winning the lottery", quoting one of my favorite D4 content creators.
I mean that is literally the formula for Diablo. Wait for season to start, be first to climb the ladder to hit the top and repeat again at another season whenever you feel like it.
The uber uniques have decent drop rates(1/50~) if you farm Duriel but to be honest I don't think the average player will want to bother farming it… Having said that I doubt the average player would play more than a season of Diablo. It takes a special type of person to play the same game again and again if it isn't PvP and there is no additional storyline.

I still don't get whether I should buy the deluxe instead of regular? I don't get the seasons thing. If I just want to play the campaign with 5 different classes should I care? The seasons seem to give some boon to a class each time?
Paying for seasons just gets you cosmetics. Paying for anything outside the standard game is cosmetics at this stage. At some point there will be an expansion pack with gameplay but there are no additional payments for gameplay at this point in time.
Oh. Iirc the game warns there's some boon that will get merged at the end of the season..
It's a decent game even though everyone craps all over it, not sure it is worth $66 though.
