Tempting! I conducted stress tests on my current system last night—R7 5800X + RTX 4090 + Corsair RM 850x (non-ATX 3.0). When both the CPU and GPU were under 100% load, it only showed about 650W maximum on the power board. Considering the power supply efficiency (87% and up), it should be less than 600W for the PSU to handle. Should I still upgrade to a 1000W PSU?

    • Of course and I'll buy your Corsair RM 850x off you for cheap.

  • Looking for a new 850-1000w PSU. Will probably use for 10+ years. Narrowed down Corsair RMx 2021, Seasonic Focus ATX 3.0 / Vertex, and now this. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have a Seasonic X-660 still running from 2012, hence why I particular to them.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

ATX 3.0 and 10 year warranty are the minimum

This DeepCool is pretty exceptional value being ranked 4th overall in 1000W/230V by Aris/Cybernetics/HWBusters

In comparison, the NZXT C1200 is 1st overall in 1000W+/230V and goes for just under $300

Thanks for your input. I ended getting the Super Flower Leadex VII Gold https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/815468

That looks to be the PX1000P (Platinum) version. The G version is on the list though.

      • Good choice

Unlike previous Super Flower models, PCCG have finally started offering the full 10 year warranty in line with other regions
