Looking to Buy a Duel-Worthy Lightsaber

So I've recently got a really cheap $25 light up, RGB lightsaber, which has gotten me obsessed with lightsabers in general.

I've done a bit of research about lightsabers in general, pricing, types, sizes, etc. and decided to look into just a RBG/Baselit saber.

I've looked into AliExpress (Mainly TXQ sabers), Amazon, Padawan Outpost, ArtSabers, etc.)

This forum is generally just wondering if there's any deals or any good places to look for in terms of good saber deals and I could explore or look into?

Thanks in advance! 😁

  • Didn't they use metal props in the prequels and even they ended up being damaged and needing replacing? I don't think anything you'll find will be truly duel worthy.

Lightsabers aint what they used to be. Remember when a good stabbing through the abdomen would kill you in 2 seconds? Now it seems everyone who gets shafted by one is back to normal in a couple of days. They don't make anything like they used to I guess.

Back in my day when a light saber struck you, you’d instantly vanish into thin air

If you strike me down, I'll become more powerful than you can possibly imagine

5million degrees C would vaporise most of a human body on contact, what about the hands and arms of the person holding the lightsaber

Ben hands one to Luke and makes him play with it blindfolded on a Spaceship. Maybe he wasn't happy to spend 17 years in a cave full of sand after all.

Which $25 one did you get? Any good?

This is where I got it from. It's very decent. The only downside is that it's pretty short. I had 7 different colours, with some standard sounds which got annoying really quickly.

It's approx a 75cm blade, and after some research and suggestions, a good side for my height is approx 82 cm.

That being said, it's great to have and if you have kids, they're perfect and cheap. Very fun to have, and a great starter to start learning how to spin.

Another cool feature I found was that if you buy 2, you can put them together to make it a double-bladed/darth maul style blade, which sounds pretty epic

Overall, it's pretty good for a cheap lightsaber! :)

With dueling being a sport now, there's probably some Facebook groups where you could get the good info. That being said, it is disturbing OzBargain doesn't have a lightsaber Wiki.

    • Yeah, I was kind of hoping there's some OzBargain community for lightsabers!

I do notice posts with Star Wars Force FX sabers being on sale, but they're a bit too pricey, and not as safe to use to duel with. I believe it's more of a collectable item than to properly use.
