Max is Australian and Corelle is American. Max is probably more stylish and Corelle is basically drop proof indestructible

Yep. Max is ceramic and Corelle is made of Vitrelle, a tempered glass that’s pretty hard wearing and doesn’t break easily like the Maxwell Williams
The Corelle set 12pc at Woolies is $55.30.
There might be some different sets at the Instant Brands outlet at the DFO for similar price.
I don't really like the bowls in the set (square bowls in the other sets are awesome though), so I'm happy to buy clearance singles rather than set.

I prefer to buy singles, just the pieces that you will actually use.
Corelle is way better quality and hard wearing. I'm still using same dinner set for last 10 years. Also, you can buy replacement plates/bowls in case you manage to break one.
I dripped one on a concrete pathway, not a scratch.
Was in myer today. Heaps of glassware for 70% off if someone looking for it. Not sure online.
A fair bit online as well! Good for getting your Christmas bar ware, glasses and serving plates for Christmas.

Corelle winter frost has also been tested and has no lead or cadmium
For some reasom the 50% discount is overridden by the multibuy discount which is less :(
