A bunch of technical and AI issues have been addressed apparently. Don’t believe the games necessarily good now though.
I tried it recently with all the patches. Still an absolute chore to play through with bad shooting, level design, quests, art direction, story, loot mechanics, etc. Game does seem designed for co-op so if you're into that maybe if you're desperate, but just play Left 4 Dead because that's clearly a better game.
Grab it fast before price goes up again.

Both. The PC version is a Steam code in a DVD case. I bought it the other day for $47. DOH!

The game launched day one on GamePass, being a MS studio. It’s an Xbox exclusive so no PS+.

Will playing Redfall require an online connection for single player as well as co-op?
A persistent online connection is required for single player and co-op.
This is a Live service game, so it has an expiration date, just like Athem, Battleborn and Evolve. Which is surprising since this looks like it could be a single player game or feature local-coop..
Player count seems to be dangerously low for a live service game, only 50 players (24 hr peak) on Steam.
Thought this site is for promoting deals, not for people to get ripped off.

There are dozens of people playing right now. Two dozen to be exact. Looks like there are usually at least seven.
Hmm nice, maybe it's been fixed.
Perhaps these price cuts have more than doubled their player counts (over just being free to anyone with GamePass). Surely now its long-term future as a live service game is assured.
