Hi guys, need to buy parents a new TV. Need 50 inch. Can I please have OzB recommendations?
Trying to keep around 1000-1200$ at most.
They're old and funny about branding so they'll want a Samsung, Sony, LG etc.. hisense and TCL are too new generation for them unfortunately.

Hope you can find one. Don't go for any tv less than QN80 though, QN90-95B is excellent, 85B is good. Let me know if you need any help
Within your budget, some notable mentions are Samsung QLED QN90B, Sony A90 and some Hisense/TCL (I'm gonna skip these as you mentioned in post)
Best to get is a Samsung QN90B. They're from 2022 so the price is much more affordable, the equivalent QN90C is more expensive and not worth the extra penny. Pros: excel in bright room, great brightness, excellent contrast. Cons: a bit hard to find stock
Sony A90 has more stocks but really depends on sales.
Fyi 50 inch is a bit small for most cases. 55 inch QN90B recently sold for $1250 on Samsung edu store.
