Coles Credit Card Price Protection - Best Retail to Shop for Whitegoods?

I have the Coles credit card with price protection (grandfathered product) where you can claim the price difference from the same retailer over two years. I’ve used it easily for clothes (as I know they always have 20-30% sales) but I’m now about to buy some whitegoods and don’t know which store is best to buy from. Am I better to buy from JB, the Good Guys, Harvey Norman, E&S Trading etc? Or it doesn’t really matter as generally they all will have regular sales and the price will come down.
Anyone had good experiences claiming the difference back?
Which retail store are your go too?

TIA

    Honestly there is no best.
    Sometimes GG/JB
    Sometimes HN/Domayne
    Sometimes Appliances Online

Often they will price match each other, and you can then price protect that.

  • Congratulations on your card becoming a grandfather

for whitegood probably The Good guys potentially as they often have 15% off codes etc so you will be able to claim the lower price. 2 years is along time so they are bound to be clearing stock at some stage.
A tip would be wait until one of them has a good cashback offer with Shopback/CR or bonus gift cards.
    e.g
we just got a new dryer from HN for $1888
even though it was $300 more than Applicances Online they had 10% bonus in gift cards, so $1888-$188.80 gift cards, and then i could claim the price protection anyway so $188.0 better off (this is with 28degrees though where you can claim any place after purchasing)

    • Great win on your dryer! Thanks for the reminder on the bonus offers they have and to keep an eye out on ShopBack/CB.

    • Another strategy is to use Harvey Norman's Price Match Guarantee when buying a product that's cheaper elsewhere, and then you can price protect with the CC while also getting them to price refund the difference.

  • Harvey Norman currently have the same deal again spend $250 get 10% back in giftcards, may be best time to check out if worth buying your whitegoods.

although it seems this offer, the bonus gift cards need to be used within a month

    • Thanks for the heads up!
