2013 Corolla USB Port

Hi all,

I'm planning to install kenwood DMX7022S into my sister's 2013 corolla but it doesn't have a usb port, only on the toyota headunit and where can i buy those factory usb plug that the new corolla's have undet the a/c controls which are cheaper than oem?

I tried looking for the toyota oem usb ports but they over $220 from the dealer which im not willing to pay for.

Thanks

  • The Kenwood has its own USB port. Why do you need another?

    • I want it to look factory, not a usb port stick out of a hole. I want it to look like this.

      • ebay or amazon will have something for you

      • If you are really set on the factory look, you could get something from a wrecker, even a different model Toyota.

      • Ah gotcha. I just run the cable under the floor mats and bring it up near the handbrake or in the glovebox

  • Are you planning on soldering the oem usb port and the kenwood usb cable together?

  • +1

This will do it unless you are set on having the flap.
It will plug straight into the headunit and you won't have to stuff around with adaptors like a genuine Toyota one.

  • Took me a couple of reads of OP, plus reading the other comments to work out OP wants a factory looking USB in the dash. It’s nothing to do with the head unit - which the Kenwood letters/numbers is.

TLDR - please help me find a factory looking USB socket for a corolla

    • Sorry for the confusion, I’ll get what McKay recommend

  • Are you looking something like this? The usb port is placed in the fascia
    Aerpro ATB3USB

    • I don’t like that facia due to the usb port being in the middle of the head unit, and it will look ugly due to cable being out in the middle instead down low on the console. Thanks for contributing
