KFC Deleting Duplicate Accounts on 27 November 2023

No more (easy) targeted deal fishing! 😔

Hey there, legend!

We've been doing a Spring clean of our systems and noticed you may have multiple KFC App/Website accounts.

To help us treat you the right way with some new stuff we'll be droppin’ in 2024, we’re shortly going to delete all duplicate accounts.

If you have questions about if or how this affects you, read on to see if we've answered them below.

What do you mean by duplicate accounts?

A duplicate account is where the same mobile phone number has been used for multiple KFC App/Website accounts.

When will you delete my duplicate account/s?

Overnight on November 27th, 2023.

Which of my accounts will remain active?

We'll keep the last account you accessed before November 27th, 2023. This means that if you don't access any of your accounts again between now and November 27th, we'll just keep the last one you accessed before today.

What will happen to my other accounts?

They'll be deleted completely from our systems, and you'll be unable to access them after November 27th. If you attempt to Sign-In to a deactivated account after the deletion date a message will appear saying ‘no active account found’ upon entering the email address.

What if I no longer have access to the KFC account that remains active?
1. If you no longer have access to the phone number for the account:
- Start the Sign-In process by entering your email address and click/tap ‘Sign In’. On the next screen select the ‘Different Number?’ link and then follow the instructions to change your phone number.
2. If you no longer have access to the email address for the account:
- Contact our Customer Service team, who will be happy to help you out. Unfortunately, our restaurant teams are not able to assist with any requests relating to this process.
You can also hit up our Customer Service team for any other questions you may have.

Anyways, thanks for reading this far. We told ya you're a legend ;)

Tenderly, always.

Team KFC.

    This is terrible news… 😢

    • 😢😢😢😢😢

  • I only had a duplicate account because at some point in time I got logged out of the original account. Something to do with Facebook login or something.

I did it for a better range of deals.

They will delete on 27th nov. Just create a new one on 28th

    • They've stopped people creating multiple accounts with the same mobile number

      • +2

There's still a hack to create multiple accounts with the same mobile number but I'm guessing if I post it here on the forums it's gonna get patched up soon given they don't want that behaviour.

What's sad is - they still made money. If they delete all my multiple accounts, and I really just get 1x fortnightly deal, also means I'm only visiting KFC once every fortnight compared to me visiting them 5-8 times every fortnight. The lost 4-7 visits will now go to Maccas/Oporto/DD/Subs/ etc maybe

if any KFC rep is reading this - are you sure this is a more profitable move?

Do you eat takeaway for every meal?

          • +1

@bargain huntress: Actually not every meal - takeaway every meal = (14 x 3 = 42 visits to KFC). My average takeaway per fortnight is 5-8 times, which maybe considered high. From a health/financial perspective, I'm able to still balance it out by eating smartly and watching what I eat. Also, single person with fam abroad, you end up preferring to takeaway more often than not so I'll still justify my 8/42 as acceptable :-)

KFC's loss, gain to other fast food chains with better discounts.

Note: in case you missed it, original comment was talking about fortnight.

Does anyone know of a bargain website where deals are shared where I can buy Sim cards with 100%+ cashback so I can create multiple KFC accounts?

    • +1

I am so lazy/forget about activating them :|

    • +3

You should totally create one, there'll be so much demand for it after this.

The problem also is I don't think new accounts start getting targeted deals immediately. I'm not sure what the wait criteria is.

        • +1

I replied to someone about creating a bargain website to share deals

          • @CodeXD: Isn't OzB already that bargain website?

            • +2

@nsingh21: I've never heard of OzB. Sounds like a great name for an Australian bargain website!

              • +2

@Loopholio: Quick! Register the domain before it's too late!

                • @CodeXD: I'm on it. You got any code for discount on reg lol?

  • Just saw the emails, well there goes 30+ accnts.
But ey, big shout out to Boost, Boost Juice that is.

  • +1

Mine don't seem to be deleted yet, getting emails from em still.

  • They may have suspend but not delete my other account….

Oh well I just created another one with a boost sim haha.

Guest you can't take the (profanity) out of the chicken ( sorry, only Chinese will know what this mean), stupid!!

Edit: Come to think of it the person who come up with this in Yum should be sacked because they just lost a key indicator on customer buying habit and pay the way of large amount ghost accounts that can't be consolidated (where as the old ones can consolidate with phone number).

Oh wait I forgot its Yum, customer? what customer?

  • Account is disabled, contact your administrator.

Looks like they disabled the account instead of deleting it. Now the email address cannot be used even if I have another phone number to link.
