LG 47LM6700 good TV? $1399 a good price?

I am looking at buying a 46-47inch TV and found this one on the Good Guys website looks really good and has built in WiFi etc.

It is $1399 on the good guys website vs Dick smith have the 7600 Model (200HZ) for $1484 good guys $1499, $1690 JB and $1586 on HN

is this a good buy? seems like a good tv from the reviews and a little cheaper than the Samsung smart tv's

any advice appreciated

  • Go the 7600, has very very good reviews online. I own the 55' version and its a great television!

    • Thanks Lionel yeh I think the 200hz Model might be the go for the extra 100$

  • I am in market looking for good deal on Tv with similar specs

    i was offered 868$ for LG 42' LM 6410 (Goods guys, bayswater-3153)
1190$ for LG 42'' lm6700 (same place as above)

1499$ for 42'' LM7600 I saw price tag in GGuyds, didnt botherd asking best price.

Now After seeing r post am getting confused with 7600model size(42 or 47'') I saw.

At Costco (melbourne)last friday, LG 42'' 6700 is for 999$
    47'' 7600 is for 1478.

Overall what u been offered for 7600 is pretty good price. If you in melbourne, then let me knw from where u buying ( if dont mind). I pick one as well.

    • The one I am looking at is a 47 the model is 47LM6700 basically the model number is the same except the number at the front changes depending on the size of the tv ie 50" is 50LM6700. This one was $1399 but it was only an extra $100 for the 47LM7600 basically the difference from what I understand is the more expensive model is a 200Hz tv versus the 6700 model which is 100Hz so there for a better picture due to the refresh rate.

I think for the extra money i'd go a 47" over 42 it just comes down to how much extra you want to spend for a higher Hz tv but given its only $100 it may be worth it. the 7600 was quite a bit more at HN and it was about the same price at Dick smith ($500 off)

I am in Tassie so no Costco, only HN, good guys, Dick Smith

  • Find it cheaper on a different site and they should beat the price. Just had a quick look at the 47LM6700 and found it for $1237,- with delivery to regional NSW being $39,-

    http://www.savvyappliances.com.au/product/lg-47-full-hd-3d-l…

Still over $100,- cheaper than the Good Guys and they have to beat th price. I found the 42" version a lot cheaper at JBHifi and Good Guys matched it with an extra 100 bucks off.

Also, don't forget to look at what the extra warranty costs per retailer. It can differ a fair bit. That is, if you're interested in getting extended warranty.

    • Thanks for the site that is a very good price. Again I would rather buy local so its easier to return. Does the good guys policy include price matching web sites? I actually couldnt really find anything on their website about their price match policy

I will be paying by GE card not cash so they wouldnt give it to me much cheaper but even if they matched that price I would be happy.

I checked JB and found most of their TV's are more expensive than anywhere else

  • If I was interested, will buy from Amazon EU

    • I checked and there wasn't that much difference in these models plus I think you would need an adapter for the plug and not sure about warranty. Think i'd rather pay a bit more and have the ease of mind that I can return it up the road instead of having to ship it back to Europe

      • Upto you but it is only a 5-7 bucks adapter
Checkd amazon Spain still not that high from last time
From what I heard they provide free return to overseas for faulty product
But yeah if you don't want hassle and peace of mind to for it

  • Good Guys do match online stores as we dont have a JBHifi near us, yet they still matched the price. Closest JBHifi is 450km North, but they did free delivery so it wouldn't have made a difference for me. Even warranty gets done via the manufacturer and not the retailer these days.

EDIT: I bought my LG 3 months ago though, so JBHifi might have changed pricing since then. All I know is that my LG 42" was at Good Guys $1499 and JB Hifi had it for $999. Good Guys had to go under their cost price to beat them.
