60cm Free-Standing Oven with Stovetop - Budget 1 to 2 K

Hi

My oven broke down

And needing to buy new one

Can someone please help recommend what brand is good and which retailers usually have the best sale?

Just looking for a 60cm free standing oven with cook top and just a reputable brand which would be reliable

I'm a bit lost as there is so many different ovens. The budget is 1 to 2k but would like to spend as less as possible and also would like the most discounted/ sale

I live in Liverpool NSW but could also buy online

Thanks

  • Hello Mate, I would check online reviews for the brands and models of the free standingstove. Productreview.com.au is a good start and also google. Also, make sure that you get an electrician or other licence professional to change the stove. The electrician may need to review the wiring/breaker to ensure it they within the specifications of the oven.

    • Thanks mate!

  • Have a look at what energy saver rebates are available through gov or council initiatives.
We are getting $1000 rebate on swapping out our gas hob for an induction cooktop….

We have bought Westinghouse in the past - but they don’t seem to last beyond 5 years or so. Have had an Asko set up for around 10 years now and no issues at all.

      Thanks mate!

Oh my oven is currently electric cooktop so dont think i would get the rebate

    • For the life of me, I can't find details of this rebate - do you mind giving a bit more info or a link? Cheers

      • In SA there’s a rebate program and my local council has another that adds to it.
I am not across what other states may have. If it’s anything like SA you need to do a bit of delving and navigate a website of Government gibberish.
For context though - OZ has sat on its bum for a decade and now has to move pretty quickly to transition to renewables. The time/cost/money triad always applies so if a certain outcome is required quickly - it will cost the Govt (taxpayer) more. That will manifest to some degree in rebates for homes to transition.
So if there’s not much around now and you have gas appliances I would suggest waiting and watching - maybe join a FB group like My Efficient Electric Home or similar and lurk. Maybe even look at the next Fed budget…

Brilliant, thanks very much for the helpful info. I'm based in NSW and no such rebate exists - although, hilariously and idiotically, I could find rebates for gas appliances. Will dig around, cheers.

@DaiShan: Please share if you find anything

Or if the govt releases a budget announcement

            Cheers

Also not sure still available but before could get free TV in nsw
