  I had one of these and found that it went through a pair of AAA batteries every 4-6 days, rechargeable which seem to have a lower voltage than disposables would be lucky to last a day :(

    had same problem but realised it drains exponentially with distance.
    ie 15-20m about 2-3 weeks
    now its 5m away and last few months easy
    another is used for my pond (turle/fish) and 1m away last 6 months+

        Okay so the one you have has that little receiver that you can mount in the house or out on the deck which shows the temperature for the pool water?
        Does it also show temperature of where the receiver is located hence the two temps on the image?
        Seems a pretty good idea apart from the batteries not lasting.

    Mine lasted a fair while for the first two years, now its basically dead, works for a short while then just nothing, not sure if suddenly draining quickly or just broken or both.

    IBS-P01R is 433MHz, requires a custom receiver, doesn't integrate to anything (without some in-depth hackery)
    Has a good battery life

    IBS-P01B is Bluetooth, integrates well, battery life is ok if Bluetooth receiver isn't too far away

      So I just bought this. Is the Bluetooth receiver not just your phone? Would love an external Bluetooth receiver to monitor all the time via home assistant though

        Buy USB bluetooth dongle.
        Buy 5+ meter long USB extension lead.
        install dongle closer to pool….Voila
