  • Thanks Op. Where can we get discounted Dan gift cards?

    • Woolies have promo's sometimes, plus other places you can get discounts. This link may give you some options:
      https://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/discounted-woolwo…

    • Macquarie bank does 3% off

    • If you’re part of Reward Gateway (or your employer is) you can get 5% off. I just ordered all my margarita essentials with a decent tequila and paid well under $100 with a discounted gift card.

I can’t get myself to give this deal a +1 only because I feel the quality of the entry level CC isn’t what it used to be. It was once smooth and flavoursome, now it seems as rough as nails with a whiff of petrol. Might be good for mixing, but that’s about all. If you want something straight then the 12yo is far superior IMO.

    • If you're a union member, you can get 5% off via the union shopper website.

Try getting a higher abv for more flavour and complexity - Wild Turkey 101 $67 or compass box Glasgow on clearance $60 in Vic. You'll never look back

    • +5

I prefer CC over JD… its all personal preference

      • +5

Agreed, CC is extremely smooth for the price

  • +1

Johnnie Walker Red 1l good price $46 before discount

  • +6

    Johnny walker is disgusting

    • Depends - blue label is the only one I like otherwise all Johnny's give me a hang over 🤣

    • +3

Johnnie Red isn't great, but Black and above are decent.

    • +1

      Red is only for mixers.

      • +1

Red is for people you don't like….father in law got me a bottle of red….make of that what you will!!

        • +9

Next time he comes over pour yourself an Islay and him a dram of Red. Then tell him how much you enjoy banging his daughter.

          • @Fappo:

how much you enjoy banging his daughter

what's the polite way of saying that? can you show an example

            • +2

@Smilence03: I don't think there's any way you should ever say that to your father in law. If mine gave me a bottle of Johnnie Red I'd be tempted though.

              • +1

@Fappo: Came amazingly close.. when announcing he was going to be a grandpa (Aberlour A'Bunadh or Johnny Red)! To his credit he turned up to the wetting of the head with a bottle of 15yr old Dimple… heading in the right direction. Just waiting for the right person to regift that red to…..

            • +5

@Smilence03: We're trying for a baby. And boy, is it hard work.

    • Exactly. Why buy that blended shite - black, blue, red, orange, green, pink whatever - when you can buy real single malt for the same, or less, money.

      Bizarre.

      • Black isn't bad at its price point. You're not getting any decent single malts for fifty bucks.

  • +2

    Thanks OP
If doing pick up you can apply the GET10 code for the discount as above $100, then decrease to 1 bottle and still have 10% discounted

    • +1

Nice one, thanks. Just grabbed a bottle of Rare Breed for $89.95👍

      • +1

        No probs, enjoy too :)

    • How are you getting this to work?

  • +1

    code works without spending $100

  • +3

Hey gang! @syba, thanks for the heads up bud! Seems like most people here might be CC enthusiasts? It's the only thing I drink these days so always keen to stock up!

If anyone wants to jump on the CC train, feel free to post specifically CC deals when you see them and I'll do the same. CC train! Choo Choo! (emoji of a visibly drunk train conductor with a bottle of CC in his hand and his foot flat on the accelerator, heading straight into a tornado. I think his wife found all those texts the night before?)

@Jimothy Wongingtons, can you please make this happen sir 🙇‍♂️. I've been watching your work and I think you may be the CC conductor this train needs. Anyway, have a Saturday night everyone 😘

    • +3

Is this post sponsored by a few cc's on a Saturday night?

      • +2

        Drink responsibly cook 😉

Honestly I have been drinking nothing but diplomatico for last few months. But thought I’d go back to a classic for silly season.

      • +2

I wish I could drink diplomatico, but my body rejects rum seconds after impact. I think it's some kind of defense mechanism that's built into my dna.

Anyway, if you have rum things to do, I completely understand. Thank you for your service 🧙‍♂️

Oh, also, is it cool that when I read your posts, I read them in the voice of Randall Park?

  • +1

Not a massive fan of this stuff but at this price you can't go wrong

  • +7

Perfect timing, my liver ultrasound come back clear 🏆

  • Is really that smooth. Anybody try it before?

    • +1

Yes, it's a smooth drop for the price. A lot lot better than jw red. 31 per bottle is the best it has ever been.

    • +2

cannot go wrong at this price, great drop for mixing with coke/ginger ale..much better than other alternatives as ozzy mentioned like JW red etc..

    • It's got an unusual flavour, kind of sweet. The price is usually right for Canadian Club though, especially on the bigger bottles.

      • Yeah CC is a dry whiskey

  • Fantastic deal

  • +2

      • Thanks, but i get $109.21 for 3 bottles, what am i doing wrong here?

          • +1

@ozy: I guess you guys forgot to apply the promo code

Edit: the price changed from $35.15 to $40.45
            Due to popular demand???

  • I got two for 70 yesterday click and collect, wasnt sure if it was posted yet but now looks like it is.

  • +1

shame they increased the price, now it's coming out as $109.21 ($36.40 per bottle)

    • I was busy on Fri-Sun and only had time on "Cyber Monday".
      Price rise?
      They can get stuffed.

      • Agreed.

  • Is Jim Beam the least popular?

  • Price increased.

  • My order just arrived today. THE BOTTLES ARE NOW CLEAR!
Also, just bought CC through duty free.. 40% dty free vs 37% from Dans. Shrinkflation continues.
