Just make sure you make notes about what time you clicked thru & what you buy as their "click thru" records are bloody hard to find and difficult to prove. Since they don't have an app or browser addon, it can be a bit hit & miss.

I got screwed by TCB on a Culture Kings purchase. Been stuck on "Ready to submit" for over a week.

  • +5

    100* 100/15* 1.1= 11000/15= 2200/3= $733 maximum spend

    • And 33 cents but close enough :)
      100/0.15 * 1.1 = 733.33

      • What’s 1.1

        • GST

      • I challenge you to find a product for exactly that price! ;)

    • +9

I created this online calculator specifically for this.
      https://jscalc.io/calc/lfYo0KQmEkDRPVg5

      • You should post this that's cool

      • Some sites calculate based on the full price inclusive of gst so your calculate isnt right so some purchases.

It says under ts&cs that 'price-matching' will be ineligible for cashback, but wondering if the auto pop-up 'pricebeat discount' will invalidate cashback as well?

    • +1

Can someone help answer this? @topcashbackaurep

    • I'm wondering the same thing

  • +4

Checked a few things (mice, keyboards, laptops) and found their list prices much higher than elsewhere. Even after the discount it's still not really a bargain.

I'm not saying everything is like this but I think a cross check of the price is necessary

    • -4

Nonsense… buy now and think later. Much later. And if I put it off long enough, I’ll probably forget to think at all, which is a good thing if you don’t want to miss the next bargain. And by bargain I mean cashback maximisation function, naturally

    • +1

That's what OzBargain is all about, finding out if it's a real bargain.

I swear when I bought all my damn gift cards their pricing wasn't that bad.

      • It's the bargains we find along the way!

  • Any exclusion?

  • I think the ultimate gift card will be considered credit card. So still valid for cash back?

    • Not a 100%, but I believe this merchant will detect that and CB will be voided

These physical stores will be eliminated

I will say avoid topcashback. Their cashback from Amazon for me is not even tracked and it's more than a week. And I did all the steps dilligently and started with empty basket. So you will be lucky if they honour this one.

    • has your order been shipped? if it hasn’t been shipped, it usually won’t tracked.

      • Most items of the order are shipped except one.

        • +1

sounds like the one item waiting to be shipped caused the cashback to be on hold. I found Topcashback doesn’t calculate per item - meaning it calculates based on the order. I ordered 5 items and all got delivered so I could see the cashback on the total order.
Hope you’ll see the cashback when the last item is shipped.

          • @kungfupanda: Thanks mate. Will wait. Maybe I was too early to judge topcashback.

    • Do you use a VPN?

    • Having same issue with shopback 2 orders in a row and i even used the in app browser, addidas and boost

      • My worst performing, in that I mean least reliable for cashback is Cashrewards amongst the three cashback entities. I'm interested to see if TopCashback can maintain there 100% record for me after a bunch of recent transactions.

  • +3

keen but unfortunately still haven't got tracking for the most recent eBay plus and pizza hut deal. going through the hoops to submit missing claim. don't want to gamble a third only to have this not tracked aswell.

  • any suggestions where to get the best discounted gift card today? I missed the TCN 15% at coles recently 😣

    • Try coles express TCN but 10% starts on the 21/12

      • thanks - does it start on 21-Dec? any starts today or still works today? SB has 3% , CR has 2.5%

        • Nope starts 21 dec till 27 dec sorry

        • NAB Prezzee deal at 6.25%. Can't use gift cards for this cashback deal though.

  • +2

Very poor tracking; pizza cashback not paid

  • +1

Using this site is similar to claim tax at the airport. 🤣

  • Isn’t it minimum spend $733 to get $100 Cashback (not maximum)?

  • +1

Not worth the risk re: tracking. Reminds me of how Shopback were initially when they launched.

    • +1

And still frequent tracking issues with SB today…

      • Surprisingly I haven't had issues with SB in quite a while

  • -1

ok so has anyone ever had a credit to their account for anything from topcashback?

    • +1

Yes, many times. Only had one "declined" which was a referee who didn't complete, and I have a $10 bonus for $10 spend on eBay from June which is still pending, so looks like I'll have to put a claim in for that one.

  • I agree with others’ experiences. I ordered Pizza Hut three times but only tracked once. The one-week waiting also is painful. It can be a hit and miss and I don't want to risk that.

    • +1

If TCB is not reliable in your exp, only make pre-orders and wait for tracking. If no tracking in a few hours, cancel them on the ordering day by calling the store. In my previous exp, it is not possible to cancel a future order so that you have to wait till that day. Do not order it for the same day.

I have had no issues with topcashback

No issues with TopCashBack here either
