For $34 you can afford this SanDisk (expired) but I still think PNY is better

What's the deal with this when you can get a 1TB ssd for around $100 buck-aroos?? Plus enclosure $20

    • +3

There's not a whole lot of 1TB dual Lightning (Apple) / USB-C SSD enclosures for under $100 that could also be comfortably smuggled into prison past the sniffer dogs.

  • Not promote for deal for this price as I guess $100 for 1TB Fanxiang S880 NVME at 7300MB/s with a good enclosure.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/817684 this would be a good usb deal price, or maybe use 512GB MicroSD for just $60 ?

  • Why is this so expensive?

Given the normal with usb a and usb c connectors are ard 30 shipped. Just pay that $69 apple brain tax

  • What's the deal here?

These iXpand usb drives are the best in transferring iPhone photos to PC. It keeps the original file untouched and also creates a separate file for any edited photos. That way if you ever want to edit the original you can just transfer it back to the iPhone and able to fully edit the photos (including the background blur of the portrait photos).

    Are you insane????

  • I wonder why people don't use softwares like Resilio Sync, dropbox, onedrive, google drive etc to backup/transfer/sync their photos between devices?

I found Resilio Sync is extreme good for Android as it does back ground automatic bidirection sync. Also support one direction backup setup. On the other hand free open source software Syncthing also works but lacks some feature, and it's UI and setup is very confusing for non-tech savy

    • this is meant for backing up while traveling even though you can buy lightning adapter for portable ssd people who use iphones are tempted to buy this (they spend their cash whichever way they like - my brother for instant)

      • You can use any of those mentioned app/platform to do backup while travelling automatically, and they are 10 times much more reliable and convenient than any usb dongle

        • agreed but iphones users love bling
