Being Charged Monthly for Amazon US

Back in March I took out a Prime US trial - unfortunately I've forgotten the account login details (I amy have created more than a few over the last few years lol) - and as a result I'm being charged for Prime every month.

Amazon chat and phone call couldn't do much to help - if I was to cancel the card being charged every month, and then eventually I work out which account had the prime membership, would that mean they won't be able to refund me for these past few months, or would I still get the money back in my bank account? Not sure exactly how this works…

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks so much

A closed/cancelled card can still receive refunds.

Retrieve your account using phone or email address
Check your mailbox for the order that you placed around that time to see which email it was being sent to

Jeff had an expensive divorce and flashing up his new girl costs him more.
    Your choice!
    I stay away from Amazon!

Do a search in your mailboxes

    from: amazon "Prime free trial"

You'll be able to see all the emails you have about it and then narrow down the email address based on which one is from March.

  • Good thing you don't sign up for the entire year.

    Sounds like a you issue…
thats what happens when you try be sneaky lol, i done same thing though. just go to your bank and get it cancelled and charge back? if you want to risk getting banned or login every single account you made and reset your password?

  • You should be able to call your bank and ask them to prevent any further deductions of that particular direct debit from your cc (without having to cancel your cc)

  • Amazon accounts are super fiddly, did you create it with your mobile # instead of email?
