  • Can Apple price match, and anyone used them can give some review? thanks!

Huge fan of 2nd Gen one (this one). Works great, phone and watch attach very well easily

    • From my experience, they will do a price match up to 10% difference in value. That is their policy. So in this case, not worth it I suppose.

Review the stand? I have the gen1…it's high quality, and charges my phone and watch quickly (possibly not as quickly as more recent chargers, but certainly enough for me). I don't own pods.

Is nice to have on my desk. Looks good, and has reasonable weight to it. Not light and flimsy.

Liked it so much I also bought the phone only version (has phone and pods charging). One is on my desk, the other at my bedside.

I only paid $123 for mine from an eBay seller in early 2022. I guess that's inflation for you.

The new one is better: https://www.theverge.com/2023/10/30/23939360/belkin-boostcha…

You can only charge two of the items at once, but that's fine. AirPods Pro Gen 2 charge on either the watch or MagSafe bit, and I never charge them all at once because I use the watch for sleep tracking.

Prefer the horizontal arrangement for Standby Mode which is new in iOS 17 and fantastic if you have an Always on Display (14 Pro or 15 Pro).

    • Great callout! It's available at the Apple Store for anyone curious.

    • This looks only available at apple store?

JB has this new Alogic charger on special, it works well and is compact.

  • Is this expensive for this sort of thing? My partner wants one for Christmas and I would have thought based on my own experience with chargers, that this sort of thing would be about $50?

    • +2

      Yes this is expensive

    • -1

This is very expensive for what it is. $50-$100 for basically the same product on Amazon without Belkin brand name.

      • -1

I paid $12, and wouldn’t consider anything over $20 because there’s no point

    • Ok so basically anyone who says they're all the same is full of shit: https://www.macworld.com/article/334301/buyer-beware-magsafe…

lowest was 109 few months ago!!! missed it!

    • for the BoostCharge Pro and 3-in1 stand?

      • yes, half price at JB in Aug.

        • +5

Not quite the same one - it was the gen1 with slower Apple Watch charging, this one has the 33% faster charging chip - definitely that half price one was a better deal thogh

          • @Soldier: I thought it’s the same. Thanks

  • So for anyone who doesn't know this is the one that charges your watch faster (Compared to Gen 1). Everything else is identical including make and finish and quality.

I have one and it's great! If you have gen 1 I would not upgrade to Gen 2 unless you have a spare $180 burning a hole in your pocket.

I've only ever had 1 problem with this and that is dust is really hard to clean off this thing because it's like a rubbery finish at the base.

    • Have you tried a lint roller? a lightly damp microfibre cloth also works well (has to be a good quality one, not one that actually leaves lint behind)

      • +1

I'm worried I might damage something if i use a sticky lint roller but i'll try the microfibre cloth idea. Thanks!

        • Understandable. With the cloth, don’t rub back and forth. It’s got to be a sweeping motion in the same direction towards an edge.

    • so gen1 can charge iphone at 15w too?

  • I only just got this (paid 185) and it's worth it in my opinion. It's really good.

Bit off topic but is amazon cs worse than it was 5 years ago? Specifically live chat

    • I would say Yes!

  • Is Belkin trying to outsmart Apple?
