Tasting note from the brewer:
Stockade Splicer XPA was originally created as a small batch beer, brewed using a select blend of Vic Secret, Ella and dry hopped Centennial, with grapefruit added to the mix to create a spin on the Extra Pale Ale style. Hailing from South West Sydney, Stockade Brew Co launched in 2015, has a core line-up of 5 sessionable beers and have won over 50 craft beer awards, both local and abroad. Stockade Brew Co Splicer XPA became so popular as a small batch brew that it swiftly joined Stockade’s core range and is a smashable thirst-quencher that can be enjoyed all year round!

      Cheers - fixed.

i rate these beers. was good back in the day when they sold them in 6 packs and cases of 24, but they went the way of most indie brewers towards 4s and 16s. fair enough i guess.

… except when they cut the quantity by a third, the price remained the same. Not happy. So as much as I love this beer, that behaviour prompted me to find alternatives. A current alternative fave is Vale Brewing's Tropic Ale, and that's reasonably priced @ $56 for a carton of 24 at our local, even not on special.

Yeah it went from being a really good value brew to same as everything else

      • Yep, any brewery that does this comes off my list. It seems sleezy.

Unfortunately Dad And Dave's have also moved from 24 to 16.

+1 for Vale. Great brewery. If you're ever in Adelaide, they've just opened a new taphouse. Worth the trip down to MV.

Signed up for $15 voucher, applied it, and the checkout says it's only available for orders over $75. That's crafty that it wasn't mentioned at any point before that!

    • Order 2.
Is it a generic code? If yes, what is it please?

  • Purchased - thanks!

Would have been good to bundle the last offer with this one. And combing postage. Rather than spacing out the offers. Cost yourself another purchase from me (I took the last offer but can't justify a second transaction and postage).

    • I didn't jump on the last offer and then bundled the two together

As the first hasn't been shipped yet maybe you can reach out to them to see if they can amend the order

Is anyone else still awaiting for delivery?

I ordered on the 5th and absolutely nothing including no replies to emails

    • Delivered to Sydney today.
Took a few emails back and forth to try and get information but we finally got there (I only got a tracking number yesterday)

    • Yep, no emails either

    • Same. Reversed the charge on my credit card. They didn't keep their commitments, don't communicate, and are non-responsive.

    • Ordered on 7/12, got a lengthy email two weeks later saying that it’s someone else’s fault that it’s running late. I replied to that asking for a refund and got no reply.

Won’t bother with these guys again I don’t think.

      • Reverse the charge on your credit card mate, only way they'll learn (they get charged for the investigation and can be dropped by Visa/MC/Amex if they get enough of them). Someone else's fault is NOT your problem, especially if they don't bother to communicate with updates. You're gonna end up with near expired beer if you do nothing.

        • Well about 30 minutes after I posted here they refunded me. 🤷‍♂️

@merriweather: My order was cancelled at some stage without notification (the charge reversal automatically triggered the refund, so no impact). Absolute stinker of a company.

  • Dispatched on 11th, now the 19th and no emails/tracking/parcels :-(
    Hopefully will arrive before Christmas…

    • Christmas 2024?

      • Hahaha! They did email me to let me know it still hasn’t been received at their warehouse, so I cancelled and they were very prompt about that.

  • Ordered 7th Dec with expectation of dispatch on 11th Dec (as per this post and website). Chased to ensure delivery to drink over the festive period and told lies and delay tactics. Beer is only arriving this week.

Honesty goes a long way for retail. The lack of transparency and options to cancel/ refund once they knew it would never arrive before Christmas would have been fine.
