    What's the normal price?

    • +7

$15. For comparison Officeworks has a clear 80L also on clearance for $8.97 with only one unfavourable review.

I did have a look at these instore, quite a few of them were already cracked at the wheels or handles or the body itself. Probably wouldn't recommend anything heavy in these.

    • +2

The wheels aren't that great too, unless it's just the ones I tested.

But definitely get these in store. Not sure if it's just the store I went to, but I had to dig through quite a few until I found one that wasn't broken.

    • Sames ones? Strangely they are claiming to have no stock directly available in-store.

    • Are there any plastic storage boxes which don't crack easily though?

      • +7

The ones from Bunnings where you buy the lids separately cost about $30? Restaurants use them. Last ages.

        • +2

Lids come with the box usually. You may have to grab them from separate shelves.

          • +2

@Igaf: Nah not these ones. Theyre more expensive and are sold separately. Restaurants dont care for lids. They use them to bus tables.

      • +1

Yes, for a lot more money.

      • +1

ikea, bunnings, etc. but they are like $20-$30 for this size

    • +2

Not this exact one, but I've been stung before buying containers that aren't good enough quality. I aimed for thickest plastic under $10 per tub.

Despite gentle use and nothing dense being placed inside, the 'wheels' underneath penetrated the bottom of the tub and made 4 holes/cracks.

I'd advise to look for tubs that have large contact surface with the ground

      • +2

The wheels are never going to be any good on containers like this. I feel like investing in a small collapsible trolley to use with regular tubs would be better in the long run

    • +1

these are crap if you have more than 3kg in them

  • good for the price

  • +6

    More like rollers not wheels.

    • +5

      They see me rollin

      • +7

        They breakin

        • You hatin

  • Looks like a lot of stores are OOS from buying online…. at least for some areas in VIC.

  • +7

I just watched Breaking Bad again and these look exactly like the tubs they use to put their batches of blue meth in lol

  • I ordered and collected a few and one lid came broken. Definitely only for light stuff.

    • +2

so . globes? They're light stuff.

OOS most places in SA. Bought a couple of these style tubs earlier in the week for full price and had to return 1 as the handle snapped by the time we got home. Garbage quality but suitable I guess. At this price is marginally OK.

  • Need to sort out my storage room, bit weary of Kmart brand as I find these tubs tend to disintegrate over time, wondering if I'm better off going 'premium' this time…

    • +2

Had these for 2 years and not a single one has let me down. I don’t use them a lot though, just keep them stored and move them a bit when I need to take something

      • I'm talking more like 5-10 years down the track and pieces just start snapping off. For $8 I can't really ask for 20 year longevity though I guess…

  • +2

As others have said, buy them in store. And when buying them, check the lid, the clasp and the box for cracks. They're great for the price. Use them to store excess bedding etc and they stack well together. However also used them to store tools and hardware and books etc and stacked them three high. Lids all cracked under the weight.

  • might put 10 rounds of fiber tapes around it to make it stronger

    • +1

I feel like that doubles the price of the tub, at which point you might as well get one that's not sh*t in the first place.

  • +2

Think about if you need this size tubs before getting a stack of them.

I made a mistake of buying a bunch of these big containers (as they were better value per/L). But they are annoying as F when they're full and trying to put them up in the top of the cupboards/shelves etc.

I'm slowly converting them to smaller ones and stacking in most cases.

  • I had these before. decent for the price. much better at this price. got some. plenty of stock in QLD.

    • which stores

      • Garden city. already got notification to collect.

        • thought click and collect was disabled

  • +1

Will this work for dissolving meat or bodies? Asking for a friend.

  • Looks like its sold out?

  • Got one, but should have gotten 2. Great to put in the back of a ute just for storage and to move forward and back easily

  • I use these tubs. They're good quality and have survived 4 years.

    • Manufacturer & quality may have changed 4 years later!
Comments above suggest may break before leaving the store!!

      • +3

Chinese factories (assuming this is where these are from) are well known for putting forward great strong samples on their first runs, then progressively cheapening out in later batches once larger orders come to save money.

        • Shrinkflation to cope with inflation?

  • i got two turns out they are that price in store anyway. they are pretty bad quality, you can only store light things in them otherwise the tub warps and the lid doesnt sit on right. If youre storing clothes or something itll be fine but dont try and use them for moving boxes like i did

  • These are crap, but they are cheap.
These are best for light and airy stuff. I wouldn’t load this up with anything heavy.
I probably won’t keep it in the hot garage, I feel like it would just melt or crack.

  • Don’t store anything other than pillows in these… They can even crack when lifting up due to poor plastic

  • Out of stock

  • Sold out at every store I tried.
Maybe a clearance item only at Broadway in Sydney?

  • Is it Anko? If yes, it might last a few days.

  • Plenty of stock at Westfield Mount Gravatt (Garden City). Showed $15 on the shelf but scans at $8 at checkout.

    • Just picked one up for $4 at my local, guess they really want them cleared. Two were on display with one of them cracked. Not sure why this deal was marked as OOS.

  • I was at K-Mart Wetherill Park two days ago and there was heaps of stock in store, despite the website saying out of stock.

  • Actually very good quality for this price
