  • Have a look on ebay if you don't trust SB to payout.

    Here's $268 - $20 (ebayplus) so $248.

I wouldn't trust Shopback to pay out on a cashrewards deal either

      • Good point :-)

    • And you can get some TCN 'GIFT' cards to swap into eBay gift card to save another 10%.

    • This looks good. If I let my current 365 day boost plan expire on the 17th of January and then activate this, do I get this deal as I'm technically a returning customer at that point?

      • I see Kogan has a 10 gig month to month Sim for $5. If I port my mobile number to Kogan for say a week, could I take advantage of these discounted 365 day boost Sims? I'm a current customer so I'm trying to circumvent the restriction of "new customer" only. Has anyone tried this?

      • I always port out for a month & port in but others say you can ask customer service to move you across.

But I port over to Optus or Voda just to see how crap their networks (not just coverage, but congestion) is in comparison in our area.

I ask customer service they said returning customer can only recharge.

So did you port out for a month and port back in . Did it worked.??

          • @moonishkale: Yep, port out for a month (you can do it for a day if you really want), then port back in. Works everytime.

Just activated mine today that I picked up from the Black Friday $250 deal + $45 cashback.. the cheapest I’ve seen it..

This is a not a bad deal outside of that crazy BF deal though.

  • Not for recharge are they?

  • Still waiting on last order to get delivered
    Auspost as usual

  • Is Vodafone $2 prepaid SIM a good one to do a port in and out from? When I spoke to a store rep about the minimum for Voda Sim, they said it was a min $10 recharge on the $2 SIM. Can anyone verify?

I am trying to verify this too with the "port in, port out". Kogan has a 10 gig 30 day Sim for $5. They have an esim option so you could pull it off fairly quickly if this method is viable

      • This is the method I ended up using. Worked great for me, both port in and out was completed within the hour. (also ended up using the kogan plan for about 3 weeks.)
However, someone else I know tried this method, and there was a technical issue/delay. They had to chase Kogan daily to get them to sort it out, and went about 4-5 days without service.

        • Glad it worked out for you. Sorry to hear about your friend having trouble. I reckon a glitch occuring isn't unheard of at all with how the back end must function on all these mobile plan operators. I've done some reading around OZb and see people porting in and out and back to boost in less than 24 hours. I'm not brave enough to try that. You can also use a $2 Telstra Sim and port in before you've even paid for a plan apparently although some people have had issues with boost to Telstra and vice versa. I've got a $4 Lebara sim so will do that for a couple of days.

    • Just see what Coles/woolies has on special. Or if you're organised, ebay. Or as @FunbagsOfSatan said above, a $5 10gb kogan sim. Use it for a bit, then port back.
