Best Wired Headset for Under $100?

My Cooler Master MH751 has stopped working in one ear after almost 2 years, so I'm looking for a new headset.
I did like the MH751, but no stores seem to sell it anymore (same with the MH752).

The main features I'm looking for are:

  • Detachable, Adjustable or Separate Microphone w/ Reasonable Quality (above a potato mic)
  • Good Sound Quality
  • Wired w/ Headphone Jack
  • Usable on PC

These are some I've found, but I don't know if any of them are worth getting:

  • SteelSeries Arctis 1 for Xbox All-Platform Wired Gaming Headset @ $39.00
  • Superlux HD681 Studio Monitoring Headphones (Would need to buy separate mic) @ $42.30
  • Sennheiser EPOS GSP 300 Closed Back Gaming Headset @ $46.04
  • ASUS TUF H7 Virtual 7.1 Gaming Headset @ $50.00
  • HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Headset Black @ $79.00

Anyone have any recommendations?

They don't need to be local, but needs to have some sort of warranty.
I can wait for Boxing Day if that's a better option.

Thanks.

It's like you want to be negged sometimes…

      Are you into BDSM JV?

      • It's like you want to be negged

and why would I care if I'm negged?

        • I'll start believing that if you ever manage to stop posting upto 20 times per day on OzBargain.

          • @Gnostikos: What does that have to do with it?

            • +1

@jv: It means you're quite invested in what people think of your persona on here. That's what.

Also, good job responding in literally 30 seconds or less and proving my point.

I'd say you should go and touch some grass but at this point, I think you need something like an alcohol interlock device on your computer that stops you from powering it on if it detects a residual sh*tpost content level of 0.5 or greater.

Nope, that is just what you think…

                I got a notification.

I'm not typing this on a computer.

Arctis 1 for $39 is a great price.

Logitech G432 is another one to consider on boxing day, it has dropped under $100 before (and is currently $98 at EBGames). It's the rtings budget pick for gaming headsets.

    • The Arctis for $39 is definitely tempting. I'm just wondering why it's so cheap, and if it's worth grabbing them now?
For the Logitech G432, it looks like I can grab them from EB Games eBay for $88. I'm seeing quite a lot of people complain about the plastic breaking quite easily, so I'm a bit hesitant.

Superlux HD681 Studio Monitoring Headphones (Would need to buy separate mic) @ $42.30

I've owned these for over a decade, they still work.

    • That's pretty impressive. How's the audio quality for the price?

      • +2

"For the price" very impressively clear. Because they were dirt cheap. Very clear.

From an audiophile perspective, they are heavily skewed towards treble, which I personally dislike.

So totally fine for computer games, not so good for general music listening unless EQ is used. But this is personal preference.

        • Alright, I may get them and the Kmart Professional Gaming Microphone, unless there's a better combination/headset for under $100?
I've found an Equalizer APO config for it, so may try using that if I feel I need to (I'm personally not much of an audiophile, so default could be fine).

    Hopefully I've done well 😅
