The Good Guys - Anyone Waiting for TV from Black Friday Sales?

Anyone else still waiting on orders from the Good Guys to come in from Black Friday Weekend?

We went into the Good Guys store on Black Friday and ordered a TV as it was out of stock at MacGregor. The sales person said she had no idea when it would arrive. I checked that Helensvale had stock the same day and thought it would be transferred for pick up within a week.

Tried calling their Sales order line a few times now and it just hangs up after quoting an automated message of Black Friday backlog of orders.

Curious to know if anyone's goods have arrived and if I should chase up more aggressively.

Feel sorry for the staff as they were under the pump but also spent almost $1000 so it's not a small amount.

Please comment if you're still waiting and if you have managed to get an ETA?

  Irrelevant if others are still waiting, you should chase up more aggressively. At least to get a solid ETA date.

  Why don't you call the store you purchased from and find out ?? Black friday sales smashed the postal service I got a door handle from china faster than a water filter that come across Aus..

  Your only option is to continue waiting or ask for a refund. Not much you can do about it. They warned you there was no stock and there was no eta, you took that risk.

  I feel your pain! I placed an online order for TCL C845 on the 20th Nov. Earlier that day I went into the store to take a look. The bloke there said there was a 2-3 week wait for new stock to arrive, which corresponded with the date given on TGG website when placing an order (ETA 5th Dec). I went ahead with the purchase (great deal, $1660 for the 75-inch).

  Went in again 2 days ago to see if had arrived and was told it should arrive now on the 20th of December, again matching that of the website ETA.

  Now the website shows 'no stock' or 'stock arriving shortly', with no estimate given. I can only assume they have no idea when the next shipment is due because of some shipping issues in the pipeline, or they have severely oversold and are trying to get additional freight sorted from manufacturers. I have read online somewhere that one guy bought from TGG during BF and waited until January for the item to arrive, so I've resigned myself to a very long wait!

  whats the tcl c845 compare to Sony x90L i cant decide on which to purchase friend said to go for the master olded or the tcl cause issue with x90l

  Called the Store and they were much more helpful. Looks like we are getting the new Hisense TV in during early January.

  The salesperson on the phone did offer dates but no guarantees, option B: refund, option C: look at other in stock models. So there's a route if we really needed it now. Happy to wait. We did also look at option D: Try price match with Harvey Norman but they weren't able to match the Black Friday deal but was able to shave off more than $100 off advertised price at the moment. Hope this helps for anyone needing anything asap.

  Yes, we took the risk and saved extra 200+ bucks to wait a bit longer. Not bad considering we waited for a Dyson vacuum one year til Feb/March.
