Multiple daily newsletters

Is it possible to include an option for multiple daily newsletters? I often miss out on certain deals because I subscribe to the morning newsletter and deals expire before the newsletter is sent. It would be great to have a tick box option where you could select, for example, morning and evening newsletters (or midday).

Do you usually have ozb open? I find that the notifications are easier than emails.

Something to start with is to get a notification when a deal reaches +30 votes (you can do this for email, or web, or both).

    • I don't usually have ozb open. I like the vote notification - thanks for that.

  • Is there a particular thing or range of things that you want to be notified for?

For e.g if you want to receive notifications for every Uber Eats related deal or coupon, you can subscribe to the store domain by clicking on the Subscribe button.

If you were after a specific product, you can subscribe to it's Product Tag (e.g a specific model of a TCL 75 inch TV) or to the Product Category tag (e.g UHD TV or LCD TV)

If you want to be notified of every deal posted in a specific category, you need to go here.

    • I've got subscriptions to certain keywords but I like the newsletter format too.

      • The problem with multiple newsletters is that more often than not you will have duplicate things show up, e.g on a slow day you'll see the same deal featured on the morning and afternoon newsletters.

CodeXD's recommendation of subscribing to popular deals (i.e deal achieved 30 votes in a short amount of time) is a better way to catch popular deals before they are gone.

        • Fair point. I've taken his suggestion on-board and subscribed to the +30 votes.

If you're relying on newsletters to get bargains then you're doing it wrong.

    • How should I be doing it? The daily newsletter is my usual source for bargains…

Legit bargains last anywhere between 5 seconds and 30 minutes.

@gyrex: That's ok. Means more bargains for those that don't.

@Sye: Ozbargain newsletter subscribers hate this one simple trick.

        • i had to turn off the notifcations for the low qty amazon thread as it was pinging me like 50 million times a day and 99.9% of the time the stuff was gone literally seconds before I clicked.

@Jimothy Wongingtons: I'm convinced people just buy it in the first few seconds, then work out if they need it, read reviews then either continue or cancel. Classic ozbargain.

  • Ozbargain sends newsletters?

    • +1

Yes. It allows you to see all the great bargains you missed 24 hours after they were posted.

A good way to calculate how much money you have actually saved by not spending any. Maybe we're the ones in the wrong???
