    the current model
    differents?
    new vs old i5
small hdd and small ram thought
    however you get a gt650 =)
also i do believe dell has a good warranty service =) will be much better than cotd

  • That is a lot of PC for the money.

    Likes:
    - Resolution better than average, which will be nice on a screen this big
    - Like most 17" laptops, it has a second bay for a an additional hard disk. This means you can spend $60 on a small SSD for your OS and programs and your PC will perform well above its class. This is probably a better investment than upgrading RAM beyond 4MB, but depends on how you plan to use your PC.

    Dislikes:
    - 3.28 kg. Get a good quality backback if you are planning on carrying it around!
    - Although I have had good service from Dell, I have also had a lot of hardware issues. I'm glad I got the 3 year warranty.

  • If its a desktop replacement maybe, if you intend to carry this anywhere and use it , forget it.

Ever sat in a train where someone tries to read the sydney morning herald, yes the big newspaper, This will be you with your laptop if it ever leaves the desk.
