    Was $140.00

    WT !!!

    • +1

That's craft beer prices. Also 440mL cans.

      • -3
        • One of them it's also Apocalyptic that costs.

          • -2

@Scrooge McDeal: That is fake too…

            https://www.vintagecellars.com.au/beer/amundsen-apocalyptic-…

Single can normal price is $6

            $6 x 12 ≠ $140

            • @jv: Maybe price it's the same because Vintage Cellars are part of Coles Group

              • +4

@Scrooge McDeal: Each can is $4 now, it is normally $6.

So 12 cans is normally $72, not $140

                • +1

@jv: Yeah pricing doesn't make sense. That's Coles. However it's still good deal for a 12 pack of 440mL craft beer.

                  • +1

Possibly, but I'm already fully stocked from previous deals…

Might get a couple for $4 each to try though…

                    • @jv: As always drink responsibly.

Yes, I will dispose of the cans in the recycle bin.

                  • @Scrooge McDeal: They were originally $10 each, then got marked down to $6 each (and they possibly listed them as $12 each to begin with).

very weird how they display them, but it's all good.

                    • +1

                      @ArjaytheGuy: Oh really? I didn't know that. Thanks 👍

                    • @ArjaytheGuy: Originally $12 which is the normal price for a large can of a specialty brew. It's an absurd price and the beer is often basically the same as any other beer of the same variety tbh. These are mostly imports as well which adds extra (despite the imports tasting more or less the same as the domestic brews).

Looks like they bought a bunch hoping people would mindlessly buy them at $12 and since craft beer doesn't age well it's time to get rid of it.

            • +2

Can confirm same pricing at Liquorland for al my QLD peeps

  • Since when are 12 packs of beer a thing?

    • -1

      craft beer

    • +1

Have you been to Aldi lately? Even Aldi is selling a 12 pack.

      • +1

Even Aldi is selling a 12 pack.

        Cries in Queenslander

    • They were a thing when I was an underage drinker in America back in the 90’s.
But never been a thing here until recently I guess.

  • +4

These are the same price ($30 for 12x440ml) and also very good:

    Chur Lid Ripper:
    https://www.liquorland.com.au/beer/chur-lid-ripper-hazy-ipa-…

    Chur Me Time
    https://www.liquorland.com.au/beer/chur-me-time-mosiac-hazy-…

    • Which one is best? I hope they don't taste like chicken!

    • +2

So these are all getting close to BBD, so they are far from fresh. But, the Churs and Apocalyptic Thunder are still tasting decent (especially considering the price). The others in this price range (8 Wired etc) aren't holding up as well.

    • Cheers mate! Grabbed both

    • Both these better than the frontaal juice?

      • +1

Definitely. Any Chur you can get is a safe bet.

    • +1

      Chur

    • Chur Bro

  • +8

Thanks OP - First Choice has the same pricing and you can use code XMASTEN for 10% off. Picked up a couple cases of the Chur beers in Brisbane.

    • +1

thanks for the First Choice tip - find some stock near me also and grabbed 2 cases with the code

  • +3
  • Yep some C&C available at first choice

  • +1

No stock anywhere around me :-(

  • +3

    Thanks Op (and commenters)

Grabbed 2 12x packs from First Choice for $54.

    Merry Christmas to me.

  • +1

Fantastic bargain for these beers, great find OP and to the people linking other finds in the comments.

  • +2

Some left of a few of these at Bentley WA First Choice

  • That Kia Ora beer is pretty average but at this price sure why nog

  • no clue if any good but going to try me some Brouwerij Frontaal Juice Punch New England IPA, only one in stock at my local.

  • OOS

  • +2

Great work OP, got myself the Chur Me Time and Brouwerij Frontaal Kia Ora New Zealand IPA packs. For less than $60 it's a bargain!

  • +2

I got a case of the Chur - Me Time from First Choice, and it cost me zip. I did have to give them some of my FlyBuy points though.

  • Hell yeah, bought a couple for myself and a couple for the old man

  • +3

Thanks OP. I've got myself a pack of
Amundsen Apocalyptic Thunder New England (abv 6.50%) and a pack of Chur Lid Ripper Hazy (abv 6.90%) for $54 from First Choice.

I am sure everyone already knows this, but I just let you guys know that the code XMASTEN gives you an extra 10% off and brings down the prices from $30 a pack to $27 a pack if you shop at First Choice.

Given that this is craft beer from Norway/NZ and abv is almost 40% higher than your average dirt cheap Asian lager, this is actually a great deal.

    • +2

…and the cans are big…..440ml big!

  • +2

Cant find these on any firstchoice liquor or liquorland in Melbourne

    • Theres one pack of chur in burwood east

      • Liquorland?

        • First Choice

  • -8

Meh…I like drinking some craft beer on tap, I don’t buy all the hype. I have not tasted any craft beer worth $140.00 for a doz. I am a family man I will stick with VB long necks for take aways.

  • Great work OP. All my locals were mostly out of stock so have rolled the dice on delivery.

  • Min $200 spend for delivery at first choice which I don't have any stores near me. Liquorland is out of stock. Sucks.

  • damn the 10% code doesn't work for liquorland

  • +1

My click and collect just got refunded, no stock available. Got a ten dollar off coupon though

    • Which store was your c&c from?

  • Rolling the dice with a delivery order. Fully expecting a cancellation though

  • Plnety at first choice for me thanks

  • XMASTEN code only works at First Choice Liquor, but they have higher minimum for free delivery ($200) so ends up better to go with alternatives unless you want to go nuts.

Honey sourced me a small MyColes code discount @ Liquorland (CODE: 2771178188508) which worked out better for me spending under $200. Thanks random coles worker.

$2.40 a can for a 440ml Hazy NEIPA is hard to turn down, thanks OP.

    • The code doesn't work anymore

      • Yep, that code is dud.

Bought a few from VC and just paid the $9.90 delivery.

  • Nice one guys, just managed to place an order for a box of Mosaic Hazy for $27 from First choice. Xmas beer sorted.

  • Got 2 boxes of Amundsen at my local LL. Thanks OP!

  • Good one OP, I've been watching these sit at $60 on clearance for a few weeks with no takers. For $30 it's a no brainer!

  • +2

I'll pick up my case tomorrow.
The only regret I think I'll have, is not buying more than one case!

  • +1

This is crazy prices for such great beer. CHUR is really nice

  • Is anyone able to use the discount code successfully this morning ?

    • Code was one day only, expired at midnight

    • When I applied the code it took $7.50 off the order. Went through to paypal payments then it errored out saying the code had expired. Even without the discount this is a great deal IMO.

    • Nah just tried. Bought a stack in any case as it's such a good deal. Hopefully they come through with delivery as no local stock.

  • Delivery and C&C available in every state BUT Tassie, booo!!

Great deal for you mainlanders though, enjoy those Christmas brews!

  • Thanks OP, weekend sorted.

  • Since when does Coles sell Amundsen Bryggeri !!?

  • Still no confirmation from First Choice on order made for Chur around 6pm last night, even though they usually have a 60min turn around. Not looking promising 🙁

  • Seems like OOS?

  • -1

i would check canning date, a beer like this will taste like a$$ after 4 or so months from brew date.

    • +1

Would still be alright for the money, speaking from experience of actually trying a range of kiwi hazy ipas that had closer to date. These would be close to best before hence the cheap cheap price.

    • They're far from fresh and also probably stored terribly. At this point it's cheap booze. Similar price/ABV to much more ordinary beer.

  • Went with liquorland for a delivery order as no stock nearby, will see what happens.

  • +1

These are available (mostly for delivery) from First Choice. You have to be a bit sneaky to find them but here are some links.

    https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/beer/chur-me-time-mosia…
    https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/beer/amundsen-hopblimin…
    https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/beer/chur-lid-ripper-ha…
    https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/beer/8-wired-moose-peak…
    https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/beer/amundsen-apocalypt…

It's basically all delivery - click and collect for $4 each in store or $30 for 12 on delivery.

    • all OOS/not available for purchase in VIC

    • You can't add to cart anymore - says The product is no longer available for purchase in XXX.

  • Can’t find any of them in stock anywhere in Perth :(

  • Just had my c&c order from First Choice cancelled and refunded. I'm not sure I'm ever going to get over this 😔😆

  • +3

They've scrubbed the sites of these beers from First Choice, Liquorland and Vintage Cellars. Totally Oz Bargained!

My order from Vintage Cellars got cancelled, but I got $10 credit which is not bad. Consolation prize: Black Hops Super Hornet is 4 for $22 if you add individual cans ($34 if you add a 4 pack lol). I used my $10 off on that, which is a good deal on a good beer.

  • Ordered $210 worth from first choice to get the free delivery, but expect it will probably get cancelled…

  • C&C from First Choice was cancelled. 🙁

  • This is Coles Group, so waiting to see how many of my beers get cancelled and how many (Santa miracle) get delivered. Every year their logistics are…. no better. Maybe 2024?

  • My C&C was cancelled

  • +2

So I ducked down to my local First Choice in Burwood East VIC, and they do have stock of the Chur Lid Ripper, Chur Hazy, 8 Wired Moose Peak and a few other 440ml IPA's and NEIPA's. Only thing is they have less than 12 of any of the variants. I guess that's why c&c were cancelled.

They were not too long ago $6 each, but now marked down to $4 each in store. I thought $6 wasn't too bad previously and grabbed a few at the time, missed this deal @ $2.50 each, so settled on $4 each in store. Picked up a few of each.

Now the deal of the day was Deeds Brewing Fuel Injection in store, they marked them down today to $3 each. They are still $12 each on the site!

    https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/beer/deeds-fuel-injecti…

Go in store if you're keen and chasing, see what you may surprisingly pick up 😎

    • Nice, love Deeds, will have to check out my local

  • +1

I picked up 12x each of the following:

Amundsen Apocalyptic Thunder New England IPA Can
Kia Ora Brouwerij Frontaal New Zealand IPA Can
Chur Me Time Mosaic Hazy IPA
    Chur Lid Ripper Hazy IPA

The best by date varies from January to March (and from beer to beer). I'm a bit of a craft beer nob and still think they are all super drinkable. I usually like pale ales, XPAs, IPAs and found the Amundsen to be my least favourite. The Chur Lid Ripper is a beaut and delivers that taste NZ is known for.

Great deal thanks for sharing and cheers!

  • Ordered from Coles on Wed for delivery today as part of our normal online shop, got an email last night that all beers were out of stock :(

  • +2

My case of Chur Me Time is best before 16/03/2024.
    I don't know why everyone's whingeing about best-before dates!

    • Agree, still tastes friggin awesome.
