Advice for Fast Charging Power Banks

Hello,

I need a power bank as I need a long battery. The current power bank I have doesn't actually charge my phone, it just keeps the battery stagnant. It is relatively new

Recently a friend lent me theirs (no longer for sale) and I was shocked to actually gain charge.

Anyone have any recommendations for a power bank that fits this criteria (around $50), if not any specs I need to look out for to meet this?

Currently own an S21 Ultra.

Thanks in advance

What powerbank do you have right now? Are you doing something hectic on your phone while you've got it connected?

Sounds like it's pumping out 0.000001amps

    • Some random company, the name can't be googled. But rhabks

I'd be willing to bet that this is a bad cable

    • It's a Samsung cable but to be fair it's 4yrs old now. Thanks

High wattage and high capacity is what you're after. I've been using this for the last couple of weeks. Charges my S20FE in about 20 minutes. Has the capacity to charge it about 4x over.
See this post for limits on flights. Might not be useful most of the time, but travelling with a bank makes life much easier.

Also as @DiscountForThee said, make sure you have a decent USB C cable.

      20m….

      The bigger, the better.

I am imagining a duct tape behemoth of 20m of a single row of AA batteries lol

S21 is not too fussy - takes both PD and QC. But for future-proofing, best to get a powerbank with USB-PD output at 9V, preferably 12V too.

Good bet. Does not help if powerbank is 5V usb-A only.

Buy multiple power bricks and leave some on charge all the time. When one is flat, swap it out. If the power ever goes out you'll have multiple power bricks to see you through the day.

    • how long does the charging take?

      thanks

  • I have a Baseus 20W 20,000mAh power bank, bought it for around $20. It fast charges my previous s20fe as well as my current S23 ultra.
