What is the portable player solution for PC now?

Intrigued by that PS portable player, I wonder if there is something similar for PC at the moment?

I want to do remote play locally within the home network, of course I won't mind to be also able to play while on the move. I am not talking about portable player where you install and run off that device. I am talking about streaming from PC, just like that PS portable player streaming from PS5. Thank you.

  • Logitech G Cloud? You can even use your phone if you wanted.

    • Thanks. But looks like its running off cloud and requires a subscription.

  • +1

You can use your phone/ipad/chromecast with any bluetooth controller. That or an old laptop and just let the PC do the heavy lifting.

Basically you install "Sunshine" on your PC that you want to stream from https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine/releases

and Moonlight on the clients https://moonlight-stream.org/

an alternative is to use steamlink in steam or GameStream built into the "Nvidia experience" but I found both to be a little less reliable

    • Didn't know moonlight exist, great thanks! I didn't try sunshine, but I tried nvidia + shield before, not really great.

  • You can remotely stream from your PC to just about any device using free software like Moonlight or Parsec.

I would just buy something like a GameSir G8 Galileo or Backbone One and use a mobile phone.

    • Hey thanks for the suggestions. I tried Parsec and its very good! Just need any browser without running any program, which I consider it is better than Moonlight. Great suggestions for the mobile controllers too!
