Looks like I need to book in another TGIF Melbourne City lunch for 2000 points again. :-)

Meh. Stopped bothering trying to collect these yums as there's barely anywhere in melbourne you can redeem them. Mostly indian or meat & wine co.

    • Like 3 restaurants in all of Adelaide lol

But some good joints do 30% off which works out good.

    • Same here. Lots of points I can't use.

At least they're Noel Gallagher fans. I saw him a couple of weeks ago.

I complained, I basically keep booking and cancelling to save my Yuks.

Should of used them in Europe, it was €50 euro so way more value.

Maybe I'll keep this up til next year and see if I can use in Singapore or Bangkok lol.

        • Does expiry get reset if you book and cancel?

          • +2

            @tajid: Yes.

That's what customer service told me to keep doing.

Book, cancel and it lasts another 3 months.

I keep doing it to the same business's, as not many options so they probably know my name by now :/

        • I used Yums in Europe last year and again this year. Got a few €50 discounts; the majority were €25 though. Availability depends on the location, I found.

Not functioning in Bangkok or Singapore.

@Charlie Dont Surf: Just my luck!

I complained, they said they're working hard but I can understand why restaurants don't want to accept yums.

The only good thing about the app is when you find 30-50% off, as sometimes it's nice restaurants.

@[Deactivated]: Personally I'd much rather use up my Yums in places that aren't great culinary destinations. Just get a feed into me. I did this in countries like Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic.

In Bangkok and Singapore, I'd prefer to explore local restaurants. And they are generally less expensive.

  • anyone remmeber that wiki link that shows you where the overlaps are with liven and good food? that was amazing

Such a great potential let down by poor choice and less number of restaurants

I just get two main meals at meat and wine co. Cheap lunch.

Heard from a reliable source in the industry that they will be ceasing operations in Australia soon.

When is soon? What happens to your Yums?

    • Why? They seem pretty successful, with a huge number of restaurants listed with them. Doesn't add up

  • Where to spend the yum in Brisbane?

    • Italian Street kitchen in westend or newstead

  • +3

First , these Yums expire too fast & barely anywhere in Sydney you can redeem them., that are of interest to us .

Switched to Quando booking , they give you cash in your bank account after several bookings …
    bye bye FARK
