  Pretty sure they are backwards compatible, just not the other way with newer cams and older base.

    Eufy should really do a deal where we get a discount if we trade an old home base in. It sucks that you have to get a new home base to use their new cameras

  I believe this needs to be connected to the router via Ethernet unlike the previous version that also supports wifi.

    When initially released I believe it was ethernet only. With firmware updates, now supports wifi. Source: I have one

          @bauser99: Honestly haven’t really tested that out. All 4 of my cameras are within about 20m of the base, and the base is about 2m from the wifi router.

          Where I have the cameras the testing does say excellent connection - so assume the hb3 does have good wifi.
