Free Burrito (Credit Worth $12.90 - $14.90) @ Guzman Y Gomez via App (New Users Only)

Note: This is not a duplicate - As the last post has been more than six months since it was posted.

This is a well known reoccuring deal where if you register for a new Guzman Y Gomez account under a different email, phone number and phone device serial ID (new customer), you will be eligible to claim a free full sized burrito (or any other item, with a credit of $12.90 to $14.90 - price depends on the store cost of the burrito, this can be different depending which store you order [eg. Adelaide priced GYG is different to Sydney priced GYG]).

The title has been changed from $11.90 - $12.90 to $12.90 - $14.90 due to inflation and price changes to the burrito value depending on where you are located. Additionally, the Free Burrito may be claimed within 6 months of signing up.

Note:

  • They save the Device ID so you can't use the same device if you've already used it to claim the Free Burrito in the past. Workaround - and this was from the direct word of a GYG employee themselves - Delete the app then re-download it, ensuring you sign out before deleting it. Before redownloading it, reset your device's IP address by going into Airplane mode for about 45 seconds then back to data or wifi. Then create a new account.

  • Requires SMS Text verification with an Australia Mobile Number to get the Free Burrito credit.

      • No doubt the Collective identified it as Individualism which is certainly not allowed in the Collective.

Appears in account and check out, but keeps toggling itself off?

    • yeah, mine does that too. No idea why, I've tried it a couple of times, it takes the credit off the total but at the last step it toggles off and burrito goes to full price.

      • Same here. I can see the voucher. Last step when I tried to pay, it says the voucher is no longer valid or expired and it automatically toggle off the voucher once the message shows up. The voucher is there but cannot be redeemed.

    Note.
They now seem to tie the redemption of a voucher to the same DevID used to create it.

    • Can you work around it with an emulator (eg. bluestacks)?

      • +1

Its linked to same DevID, you create one with Bluestacks you'll have to use the same DevID to place the order, so pre-order from home.

        • I see, thanks for that info.
