Hi all

Quick question to see if there is any actual difference between these two listings (both under the Meross official store on Amazon).

  • Both are MSG100
  • Both are Apple HomeKit compatible
  • One has a different stock image with more wording on the unit
  • One is $62 vs $79 after coupon

(yes, I've bought these before when on special and realise these aren't the cheapest. But I'm wanting a unit before Christmas)

    If you look closely at the listing, one ends in HK and one does not. I googled it for you, and the HK version supports HomeKit (the non HK model does not).

        Despite what the ad says, look in the technical specifications wher it lists model number. I know which i would trust…

          MGS100 works fine with HomeKit. Installed this arvo.

    Something before Xmas? One of these. I have one and it works with the Tuya app (which I use for my home automation and smart plugs). Integrate it with automation so when the garage door is opening, it will turn on the interior garage lights, sends you notifications when it has been open for x minutes (you can configure that).

    I bought it with a JB Voucher and its great.

      Thanks but no thanks. I have a Meross on one garage door, so I'll stick to the same ecosystem for the other (we have a dual garage door setup).

    Do you need the Homekit version? There's another Amazon listing for non-homekit @$49.62

      Yeh, it works superbly when the prompt shows up on Apple CarPlay when the car gets close to home.

          Yes. My watch is a bit temperamental, but yes I do use it to open/close!

      Non HK version is now at $41.98. I just ordered this one as I dont care about HK.

    They’re the same thing, just different seller thus the price difference. When I viewed the first link $62, it said up the top “You purchased this on xx-xx(date)”. I can confirm this one is HK compatible.

    Excuse the stupidity but was looking at purchasing the non-homekit version but currently do not have wifi at home. Can I just download the Meross app and open the door that way without wifi?
