quick! someone post about hobbyking or waiting for the next DSE eneloope deal.

    • If the Turnigy batteries are cheaper and better, it's a no-brainer.

I know it's your first post, but please put what's the deal. You haven't put the store name.

it says woolworths on the title…?

these are great batteries they last forever

    • Excellent brand and value but keep in mind that if these really are the batteries illustrated they're not going to be of the low self discharge variety in the way that the lower capacity rechargeables that Varta sell are.

      • I have the LSD ones and they are metallic green.

        • So I can confirm these are not LSD?

  • +1

Yes, these are the high capacity non-LSD silvery white ones. Photo (like so many others) on Woolworth's website is inaccurate. Rang a store to confirm.
Because of their capacity these will be great for a day out with the camera/high drain toy, but just don't expect them to hold onto to their charge while sitting unused in a draw for a year. Bargain nonetheless.

    • Varta uses 'Ready2Use' to indicate their LSD batteries - as previous poster indicated, the batteries in this bargain are not LSD/Ready2Use.

  • I understand the Eneloop 8 pack Glitter deal is still on. Isn't that more to write home about that this?

    • Eneloop are only 2000 mAh these AA are 2700mAh

      • They're (supposedly) 2700 immediately you pull them off the charger. Less the next day. And the next.
It doesn't take long at all for high-capacity NiMHs to have a lower charge than a LSD NiMH once installed.

Unless you're using them for a specific application that drains the battery really fast - as in, exhausts them within a day or so - you're probably better off with LSD cells. I've given up using "conventional" cells.
