    You can. I bought one of these years ago for the door from the garage into house, and just changed the lock to match the front door security door key. Worked a treat - I have never used the original keys that came with the lock.

  I hesitated on the last deal with all the talk of "get blah or blah like the lock pick lawyer says, not blah", then thought bugger it, locks are just there to keep honest people honest anyway, so bought, thanks OP.
