    On the tv

Sadly most places prioritise Sydney over Melbourne for broadcasting.

If your watching on tv, why would you want to watch inferior local fireworks?

Does it really matter where they are from?

I always stand on my tv when viewing fireworks so I can see over the top of tall people.

skydeck was pretty great last time we went. I'd recommend it if that's your thing (party atmosphere and loud music with a view)

I would hope it was pretty good at $300 a pop!

  • Fitzroy Gardens, East Melbourne

They had entertainment at Treasury Gardens in 2022, but the fireworks were launched from a closed-off area in the north west part of the Fitzroy Gardens.
The view from Treasury Gardens would have been obstructed by many large trees.

  • A few tears ago, I went in early, parked near the Shrine, watched the fireworks from there, then was able to make a quick exit….

Good to see Jacinta Allan making sure all Victorians are safe in the new year…

I used to go see a movie at crown, time it to finish at about 11:30 and wander out to watch it on southbank. Much easier to already be down on southbank than trying to get there just before the fireworks.

Granted, not the best view from ground level at crown but it was cheap and cheerful.

    Best Viewing Locations?

    here…

  • in sydney
    cause ours are better :)

  • Anderson Park in Hawthorn goes alright. It's a bit far from the city but you get the entire skyline. I would avoid going to the city unless you are ok with being around massive crowds.

  • Anything close to eastern suburbs around Doncaster?
