Hi all, I am doing a PC build after a long time.
I have decided on Asus z790 Motherboard and Intel 14th gen (preferably 14900k). For the GPU, I am trying to decide between Nvidia RTX 4070 TI or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX.
What does OzBargain community think?
The games I would like to play are Cyberpunk, Assasins Creed etc. I think the minimum requirements for these games are usually much less, but I would like be a bit future proof. Also I have a 4k, 144hz monitor.
Be ware.. new model Nvidia GPUs are being released at CES in early January 2024 and are released for sale during January.
They will be called "super" models and cover 4070, 4070ti and 4080 (According to rumor mill). Most impacted card is rumored to be 4070 ti with vram increasing to 16GB
Will wait until the Jan CES then.
If it's a gaming pc why not the 7800x3d instead of 14900k? Gives you a big chunk of cash to put towards the GPU, and out performs it in most games.
Agreed, shows how well Intel's marketing is working, people buying 14th gen just because it's newer.
What are you playing on it, Minesweeper? RTX Minecraft? Doing any generative AI stuff with it?
