To those with a new PS5, what game(s) did you get?
I am new to PlayStation but got a PS5 now. It came bundled with Spider-Man 2, which I haven't opened, because I haven't got Spider-Man 1. Not sure what to buy right now. Curious to know what you guys bought…

Thing about that I don't like is that once you end membership, you lose access to those games.
Some might be OK with that but I prefer to own the game than 'borrowing'. Not sure why I feel this way - maybe it's because it's a new concept for me - subscribing for games, like a local library membership.

TLOU Part 1 is on sale for $77 on the PSN store, not sure the physical price as I only buy digital (I hate swapping discs). That game looks insane and showcases the incredible graphics of the PS5. Also try the Ratchet & Clank - that game looks amazing and is a lot of fun.
My son is getting one for Xmas and the only game we have bought him is EA FC24, will look forward to destroying him on Xmas night.
Borrow some PS4 / PS5 games from friends, try different ones and see what you like

i bought a ps5 just to play final fantasy vii; dont have any other games

Demons Souls, Rachet and Clank, and Harry Potter are the only PS5 games I own. Can't really afford many games. I "rented' Returnal from EB Games but I ended up Returnaling it. Oh I got Elden Ring too, I forgot. And Cyberpunk on sale.
I also bought Resident Evil 4 and Jedi Survivor. And a bunch of PS4 games to play on my PS5. I guess I've bought a fair few games.
Saint Rows - Day One Addition was a good get for $10 from Amazon. Good if you want to mess around do some missions.
Get Baldurs Gate 3. You wont need another game for 6-12 months.
Kind of depends what you are into. Some of the above titles would appeal to others, some won't. Fifa, for example, is not my jam, so I wouldn't vote for that.
Like others have suggested, maybe sign up for PS Plus Extras or something to give different games a shot.

Days Gone keys are selling for hundreds. Probably YouTubers buying them so they can make content while the servers are still up. Oh no, I'm thinking of The Day Before…

Australia has some of the most expensive PS5s in the world, I expect it to stay in stock here indefinitely.
I do have constant unagi craves
but a PS? Why?
I miss the days when games were plentiful in the 90s and 00s. I understand games these days take longer to make due to graphics, animation etc….. but we just didn't care about graphics back then, if it had amazing graphics for it's time, that was a bonus.

Buy PS Plus Extra and enjoy a large number of must haves…Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Ratchet and Clank, Horizon Zero Dawn, Returnal, Spiderman 1, Doom Eternal, Uncharted, etc. Dont have to think so much now.
